Hillbilly Security methods. That's why I don't clean up my front yard visible from the street.
I'll have to use that on my wife when she asks about certain areas of the property in need of cleaning up..........

Would the Pin option on the tazer devices prevent these thefts? Or are these easily defeated? (I do not know much about the tazer/pin outside of tire size adjustment…)

Like Bill said above -
Remove tazer, drive away.

Some of these thieves can actually connect into the CANbus system.
The PIN works if a Tazer is installed, but remove it that protection is gone.
Someone here has figured a way to put a Tazer or similar device that has PIN protection in a hidden spot in the JT. He made a harness to allow it to be connected in where it could not be found (without stripping the interior out). Pretty clever, IMO.

All of this has been discussed in crazy detail in multiple other theft threads.

I don't live in a high crime area but a recent warning was put out by the sheriff to be on the alert. Methheads have been wandering out further than their usual routines. So now I just leave the car doors unlocked and keep the valuables in the house. No need for a broken window. I suppose getting in our jeeps is not much of a concern if they can already start them and drive away. Putting these thieves away needs to be a priority. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I went there and had to stop myself from posting the forbidden.

The Greater Toronto Area (Ontario, Canada) is a shit show for cars being stolen. They scoop them, store them for a few days and then take them to port in Montreal destined for overseas. There have been a few huge busts recently.

An uncle of mine used to install a shut off valve into the fuel line, typically near the driver side front door underneath the vehicle where it was easy to reach. He'd just reach under & turn it 90* so it was off when he got out. Even if you stole it, you wouldn't be going very far unless it was towed away. Might be an idea worth re-visiting.

Not sure that's something you'd do with a diesel.......

with fuel injection, you'd not be going anywhere because there'd be no pressure for the injectors, so the engine isn't going to run.
I wonder how these fuel pumps are pressure regulated - would you be ending up destroying a fuel pump pushing against a blockage, or are these unlike pumps of the past?
These fuel lines aren't so simple to get to. You'd be getting under, not reaching under.

Starving the high pressure fuel pump of diesel would be a good way to destroy it.

His were all gas, not diesel. Better a damaged fuel pump than stolen though.
I can envision some scenarios where that goes south on you........ not to mention the hassle. It's a lot harder to do that than to deal with making a mod to some wiring in the truck.
This, again, has been hashed over ad nauseam, in multiple other threads,
Jeep Gladiator 2022 JTRD stolen from driveway (don't let it happen to you) 1702828370116

but........... here we go again.

A lot easier to make a totally non-destructive mod that has minimal impact on anything and can't jump up and bite you in the butt later.
I've talked in a couple of places about using a simple "switch" by making a USB port and a special USB key that must be inserted to complete a given circuit.
Pretty easy to look over the array of relays, fuses, circuits and switches in these to see where one could make a factory-looking mod that can't be easily bypassed.

But gee, look at the other threads - 31 pages of this stuff.
