I’m a big fan of functionality over form. I like high quality components but I’m also on a budget like most.

Modifications to date.
2023 ecodiesel Willy’s

AEV 3” high capacity lift ( I tow a lot and didn’t like how soft the OEM springs were) no deal here paid full price.

JK AEV Pintler wheels and Goodyear 315/70/17 ( I bought a rusty AEV spec 2007 JKU to rob parts off)

Ranch color matched topper ( this was a returned unit that because of some paint blemishes paid $2400 with tax)

decked single drawer system again no deal here, paid retail.

JK AEV front steel winch bumper. It’s just mocked up right now with 4 bolts while I wait for the winch mount. Bolt holes match up perfectly and the OEM JT fog lights fit the AEV mount perfectly. The JK winch mount would need substantial modifications to fit.

Nice setup. Have you done anything with the stock halogen headlights? Is it me or is the driving light on the drivers side lower than the other? The big rubber? blocks on the bumper add some nice protection, especially for square contact.

Good eye. The ARB lights are loosely mounted in that pic. One is pitched up and the other is pitched down. I have not done anything with the stock headlights but I need to, they are awful.

I too have the AEV with HD springs. I love it. Rides good when unloaded, rides even better when loaded. My only complaint is I net a little more lift than expected and I can no longer park in the garage with my RTT mounted lol.

Same here I netted about 4” of lift despite the roughly 550lbs of gear, decked drawer, and topper. I’m hoping it settles out around 3” with some miles.

Yeah my Garage was built for a small car Jeep never would go in it. But works great for the Yamaha

Can't even fit a lot of todays full sized trucks in a 7ft door anymore. I have 9ft ceilings so I could install an 8ft door with a wall mounted opener, but an 8x16 insulated door is $3k alone. If we planned to live here forever I could justify the cost, but we hope to be out of this house within 3 years. I've also thought about just parking outside under a car canopy and dealing with cold mornings, but we live in the sticks and no amount of effort keeps critters out of your vehicle. Just in the month I did park outside I had to chase chipmunks and squirrels out a few times.

I'm contemplating swapping to Clayton 2.5" HD springs. Between those and building a new cap an inch-ish shorter in height I think I will fit with 37's. But I'm concerned about the ride with the Claytons.

You start towing a heavier load in the summer you’re gonna have to remove those lights blocking the grill. I put on a taller winch and saw a temp difference, those block a lot more
