I had a 2020 JTR for a little over a year before we lemoned it. Maybe looking to get into one again, esp if they can do 2.99% APR.
Pretty sure that's not going to happen. Jeep's best financing option is 6.9%. Credit unions are around 7%-8%.

Our JTR rate is so low it's almost like free money. The main reason I didn't consider a trade-in to a newer model is financing. A close 2nd reason was be the effort to strip everything off to install on the new one.

When they've been pushing $50k for the entry trim levels for the past year, anything cheaper looks good.

Willys in '21 were listed around $43k, Sport S w/ MxTw were around $36k, iirc.

Unless it came with a s**tton of dealer upgrades, Sports/Willys should be well under $50k.

Don't fall for "Kohls pricing."
Yeah, my Max-Tow was $43350.°° back in January 2020 with many extras. I went in with the YOLO after I had a few buddies die. Kinda like my friends wedding I just got home from. On way back from the cruise he picked up a "used" boat that had not been in water other than manufacturers testing. Sometimes you just need or have to say F### it.

I definitely agree that most should be under $50k one "steelership" I stopped by had a JLU non Rubicon listed over $80k with lift, oversize tires, 20in rims and other B.S. that was pre covid b.s.

As others have said, max tow will be fine with 35's. No re-gear needed.
I have the max tow and have had 35s. It wouldn't be happy towing with 35s and I haven't tried. If you need to actually tow, put your stocks back on.
As for the rear diff., I think you'd be happy with the anti-spin rear diff and don't need a locker. I haven't gotten stuck anywhere on even the muddiest advanced trails at my local off-road park with some 35 mud tires on. (hollarwood in ky). throwing in lockers would be a huge expense that won't net you any significant gain over anti-slip diff.

Crazy, definitely no time or willingness to go that far... And I just mean simply auto-on.... Sport is missing it LOL

S###.... if that's a current actually out the door price it sounds good.
...
That's what I'm thinking....

Can you get both the big rebate and low rate financing?

Seems like they usually want to do one or the other.
Looks like 2.9% is military only...

Fair enough. MSRP starts at $39k for bare bones Sport now... $2k destination, $500 for paint, $1000 for little add-ons (slush mats, aux switches, wheel locks, tonneau), $2k for max tow, $2k for hard top, $2k for transmission, $4.4k for dual door group (which I'll try to sell for ~5k based on for-sale threads here...)

I think that last package (dual door group) is what pushes it into crazy MSRP for a "Sport", but it's also what makes it acceptable to me (and most) with electronic windows and door locks. Without the dual door group, it would be around $47k MSRP for a Sport Max Tow LSD, which is much more palatable.

Once I sell the half-doors for ~$5k, the sale price then becomes around $30k... which, IMO, is fantastic for a Sport Max Tow LSD with electronic door locks and windows (LOL).

I forget about the dual door package; it wasn't available when I bought my JT. Personally, I think it's redundant. I plan on getting some tube doors so I can run w/ no doors next summer.

Thanks, I appreciate the tip. West Covina has around twenty-five (25) 2023 Sports Max Tow in stock right now (on the website at least), all with identical builds (dual door group, etc) with same MSRP (except for paint or slight increase due to the mid-year jump).

Kind of nuts but not surprising since they are base Sports with nothing but power windows and locks as far as luxury appointments go. Most folks don’t know and don’t care about Max Tow.

Interestingly, they all have varying levels of “dealer discount”, ranging from $0 to $9,500, although the 15% factory rebate is consistent. I’m trying to talk them into letting me get a green one with the black discount (lowest advertised of all the stock at $35,124 advertised). We’ll see how it goes.

I did see they updated some of the stock with a similar deep dealer discount, but the photos were also updated to show a lift, wheels, tires, bumper, winch, and leather seats, which I’m sure will be “worth” $20k+… These upgrades are not reflected in the advertised price, but I s they have fine print disclaimers saying as much.

Just crossing my fingers that if I decide to visit them and take a look, the ones with the deepest discounts and cleanest photos won’t suddenly have all these mall crawler add-ons.

So they’re going to give me the green for the black price of $35,124 (msrp $52,505).

Main thing I’m working on now is getting rid of the $3,999 dealer add-ons (sounds like warranties, interior/exterior protection, and other BS). We’ll see how far I make it.

I do have an FCA control number (like tread lightly). What exactly it provides to the dealer, in terms of a rebate from FCA to the dealer? For example, a while back I was working with some of the forum dealer reps, and it was like 4% below invoice without control number, but 6% with control number. This suggests a control number is worth 2% of invoice or similar. Can anyone help arm me with some info?

I think anything under 37k for a brand new sport /max tow is a real good deal... surprised someone hasn't already driven off the lot with it. My only recommendation is to make sure it's got automatic transmission.

Good deal, I was just thinking I'd want to avoid the possible clutch overheating issue w/ the manual trans. if i were buying a new one... didn't realize max tow would have the auto by default.- thx~~

There are like 15 of them on the lot with the same build/MSRP. All of them have the 15% Jeep rebate, but only a handful have been deeply discounted an additional $7-9.5k. I’m sure they would sell any/all of them at that deep discount with some negotiation. Only thing is they add $4k in add-ons, which is what I’m working on negotiating out right now.

Thoughts on this 2023 Sport with Max Tow and Dual Doors?

https://www.westcovinacdjr.com/inve...adiator-sport-4x4-crew-cab-1c6jjtag3pl550016/

I had a 2020 JTR for a little over a year before we lemoned it. Maybe looking to get into one again, esp if they can do 2.99% APR.

This Sport with Max Tow has an MSRP of $52.5k, but dealer discount of $9.5k and factory 15% $7.8k brings it down close to $35k.

I know I'll be missing a bunch of stuff that I had in my JTR, but anything else I'm missing before I consider pulling the trigger?

Some thoughts:
--Dual Door Group adds power locks, mirrors, and windows.
--Still no automatic headlights, any way to add it myself?
--Can re-gear and add lockers if I go to 35s... will the anti-spin diff cause any issues with that?
--Anything else that I'll be stuck with and won't be able (or will just cost too much) to upgrade to meet/exceed a Rubi? At $35k for this build, am I better off getting a used Rubi?
I live in Michigan and tried to get one of these deals a few months back. You have to live in CALIF. State though. I was willing to fly out and drive it back to Michigan for this price. Michigan can not come even close to these deals which doesn't seem right to me. We also pay the same destination fee as CA when I could go pick it up myself where built 2 hours away. I have a '21 Sport with the manual windows, it is not a problem for me. I have the Max Tow and Love that with the 4.10 gears. If
I could get the CA price I would buy another in a different color and also keep the one I have because I had to have Gecko green. Good luck to you on your decision.

Have you checked with Yark in Toledo? They are a pretty big Jeep dealer.

No, I have not tried anywhere but Michigan and California, I will give Ohio a call. Both places
I checked in MI and CA said they go by your local zip codes for these rebates. Thanks.
