how are those tires on this setup? They look and flow great on your truck. Been thinking about dullers ascents but still looking around.
I hope those Dueler Ascent turn out to be good tires. I’m on my second set of Revo 3s and they’re the best A/Ts I’ve ever had. It’s a damn shame they discontinued them and replaced them with the Ascent. Fantastic all around tire. Surprisingly great on and off-road for an A/T.

I was not aware the Revo 3s was discountunued, Had my eye on those a few years back. The Ascent have great ratings and treadlife 60K, seems to be great all rounded tire. I will report back once i get them.

Having my 2024 Sport S for a year and a half now, with 19,000 adventurous miles in ordinary commute. There’s one major weak spot on all the lower trim levels, that’s the halogen head/fog lights. With Jeep having their price well over the median ($33,000) price point, why do they need to charge so much for the upgrade? When the issue is safety! At the very least they could do is install the best most legally powerful halogen Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs that will help. There’s no reason why LED lighting all around is not standard! My Sport S has all LED’s except head/fog!

I had 5-6/32 left on my first set after 50k+ miles and got an irreparable flat. They told me they were being discontinued so I bought four more. I have a long time before I need to worry about that again, but no idea what I’m getting next since the Revo 3s are gone

I agree. The stock halogens are dangerous. You don’t want to add brighter bulbs in the stock housing because the light scatter is horrible. All that will do is blind oncoming traffic worse. They’re far and away the worst stock housings on any modern vehicle. Even the terrible bulbs blind oncoming traffic because of the terrible housing.

All I know is I’m glad I’m not forced to drive at night. Or I would replace them with at least the Sylvania top if the line halogen bulbs, I’ve used before in a Colorado, but they had two separate low/high beams. I used MORIMOTO TWO STROKE 2.0, in my last Colorado in Ho an lo, that really lit up the darkest roads for further than I could rear the signs. Whatever I do use I will lower the aim to not blind anyone!

Im convinced I am the only person driving a Gladiator on this forum with peasant headlights and not bothered by it. I have Sylvania Xtra Vision bulbs (so the mid range offering) and find the headlights to be totally acceptable. Literally just as good as any any vehicle on the road before all the OEM's moved over to these retina searing aircraft landing lights everyone is so accustomed to.

But I get it. Im a minority on that. So I quietly chuckle to myself when someone is driving their F150 down the road with a burnt out LED headlight that they can't afford to replace because the truck is out of warranty and they are stretched thin as sushi paper trying to live the American Dream.

But anyway.

Given the market, they might as well include them standard i reckon 🤷

The LEDs are actually safer for incoming traffic as long as they’re properly aimed. I’ve literally never once had anyone high beam me. I’ve driven a lot of new stock base model/peasant equipped JLs and JTs and got high beamed often. The difference is the LEDs are vastly superior when it comes to the cutoff and light scatter.

Meh, you need to see what the EU is going to do about it and how the US is taking tons of complaints and reports about LEDs.
Aimed or not, they are NOT safer for other traffic. EU is considering rules mandating that LEDs detect oncoming traffic and move the lights - yes, even on low beam - to not blind the other drivers.

A lot of the LED love is perception, not fact. It's the white light and so on. But I'll take the halogens my Chevy had or the halogens in our last WK2 up against LED lights for safety.
The halogens in my SX4, running at FULL system voltage using relays and a heavy harness I made to replace the factory wiring - shine as well as my JT does with LEDs. I'd say the light is just as "safe" and works in our hills and curves here where the trees may grow right up to the road

I've been high-beamed a LOT in my JT - even on low beams. Part may be because I'm already on low beam and they don't see the change from high to low, but others have seen it and I still get flashed and yes, I have checked the aim.

The problems and complaints are real. LEDs to cause issues for other drivers and if you have GOOD halogens, new with good color, not faded or losing lumens due to age, they are fine.
Frankly, if my JT came with halogens, I'd likely not swap them out.

What would be cool would be if they offered any of these platforms, with the exception of the Mojave and Rubicon as they are what they are, with option to equip with the Max tow option as well as all the other bells and whistles from, like, the Sahara package. The Sahara looks like it's pretty much equipped the same as my Overland (ordered 5/19, delivered 7/19) with the options I picked for it.

You’re partially correct about the euro headlights. Audi, BMW, Mercedes etc have had amazing headlights that adapt to traffic and other conditions and have been trying to bring them to the US for like a decade now but they’re illegal in the US. The US has odd, outdated and often misinformed headlight regulations.

Max tow relies on center of gravity, weight, gear ratio and tire size. To offer that package on others would mean different springs, smaller tires, the 4.10 ratio (with those smaller tires) perhaps stripping out some of the fanciness (to reduce weight) and so on

You guys must see a lot better than me. My 2020 Gladiator had the stock halogens and I would say an extra prayer when going up the mountain to Big Bear here in SoCal. Couldn't see sh#t.

My 2024 JT has the OEM LEDs and they are night and day better for my eyes.
