We aren't in the refresh cycle yet. Wrangler has nothing new, either. What are they going to do to them before the next major refresh?

Since the JT rides the coattails of the Wrangler, doubtful one will change without the other changing.
I know shadow papa its just i would like to see some from factory options open up like gearing , xtreme recon mybe for those who want it,Steel bumpers for Max Tow Sport S, Air Compressor, Winch, etc. Not askings for much and i pray they release a nice gold or bikini pearl before next gen. I understand cost of certifications and stuff like that just feel like we keep geting the short end of the stick that all.

Dont mind me. I still love my Gladiators and looking to buy one more before next gen. Hopeing for a bikini or gold colored max tow sport s in the freedom edition trim if they ever release it again,

You are a customer, at least as a current owner, we may not all agree but your opinion is valid as a customer.

Hopefully with all the management changes and recent promises, or at least, near promises (cough, v8, cough, 392 😎), we see some customer focused options. Winch options make sense, its currently an option that is offered on some Ford packages, even with Ram ala the Power Wagon Package for the Tradesman.

Having purchased a Ineos Grenadier a year ago, that is a much more enjoyable process. They offer many options, that aren't packaged together to include things you don't want, in an effort to simple increase overall cost. And yes, I know the Grenadier isn't a cheap truck, but they way they option things out isn't mutually exclusive to the cost of the truck. While its most likely easier for them due to lower production numbers, I cant say for certain that its that either. They aren't capable of producing trucks at the same rate as most other manufacturers. In some ways, what Jeep is offering in options, no longer feels up to date.

My $.02.

I like the Ineos Grenadier Quertermaster and If it wasn't priced crazy i believe it can be a worthy contender in the midsize market here in the states!! It has similar transmissons made by ZF, Has similar tow and payload numbers, solid axels, real handles for transfer case emergency brakes. Not sure if the diesel version ever made it to the states? Anyway it has everything we love and def give old school land cuiser vibes! I saw on the build site how they have many customs item options.

Indeed the Gladiator is stale and is in need of some customs options for customers including powertrains options like new diesel, 5.7 Hemi and even a turbo if possible!!They can open up some much more factory options if they wasnt scared of taking sales away from the wrangler. I owned the diesel overlander in hydro blue for 4 years and it was awesome. Sold it because of two accidents, Maintenace changes from Jeep and began to become scared of the future emission systems failure. Miss that low end TQ.

Same trans as the diesel JT in the Grenadier/QMs, payload is a little higher, ours is 1800lbs and no no diesel in the US.

The B58 gasser has pretty much full torque at <2k RPMs though so it does not feel underpowered. Its basically a full size truck chassis and power train mated to a midsized truck body. Its great, the price is not. Yet I see 100k Superdutys and 2500s all the time, so maybe its not that bad either.

I did see some good deals on the them last year so believe the price is coming down. you do get alot of simple but yet advance truck for your money and I would consider this in a year or so. How is it as a DD? MPGs? Diesel version would be awesome if sold here in the states.

My wife dailys it, its just fine as a daily again because its not really that large. I believe its maybe an inch higher than my JT with the GFC on the back. Its shorter of course and an inch wider or so.

Turning radius is worse and you have to get used to the non-recirculating steering, but once you do its second nature.

Fuel economy though.. that one kills me. It weighs more than the JT yet accelerates faster and has ample low end power, all while getting about 21mpg on average.

The only "downside" really is that the steering forces you to be a more casual driver. It simply does not feel spirited in anyway when it comes to turning. Getting on the highway though, plenty of spirit there lol.

Thank you fo that small review. I tell you what 21mpg is pretty damm good in our world lol The steering would most def be a learning curve me after driving jeeps the past 8 years with one v6 etorque ram for my side jobs. As much as i love my JT Gladiators( Best jeeps in my mind) i really like this brand as a potential future replacement. I would love to see if TFL put this on a tow test in the gaunlet ? Been searching youtube and noting.

It's still super annoying how Jeep only offers certain add-on's on certain trims. For example why can't you option the Heavy-Duty Rock Slider with Step Assist by Mopar® on a Rubicon or Willy's trim, but you can on everything else like the Mojave X. I ended up just buying them from the dealership and eating the extra cost. Hopefully I can sell by Rubicon rock rails to cover the difference.

As far as I know, either X package - not sure if any of the other additions, like the special packages of the Sport have it.

Wow, nothing like Sarge or 41 green either. My dream Jeep color, since I was a kid, has been a shade of tan. Bring back Gobi and I might consider a trade . . .

EDIT: They do have 41 again. My mistake. Still want Gobi!!

It's absolutely bewildering to decipher what trims get what, vs what you want, need, and are willing to pay for.

I was a launch engineer on the JT program and still needed to spend weeks learning the differences to know what to look at and what to not bother with.

I wish they'd go back to JK line item options for rear lockers at least.

I'm curious when was the last time (model year) jeep did not offer red?

I always thought red, black and white were mainstays and never left the color wheel.
