3.5/2 skyjacker lift. Opinions

I have a willets gladiator. Wanted the leveled stance with 35’s. Should I go with the 3.5/2 lift or the 2.5/1 inch lift.
I guess I worry the 3.5/2 will have to much wheel gap and not look right. Can’t seem to find pictures of 3.5/2 with sport type gladiator to compare.

The 3.5 looks better in my opinion as well! Plus allows for 37 down the road when you start itching to go bigger

Do you have a link to the kit you are considering?

That will help determine what you'd need to go up in height.

I’m sorry. I don’t at this time. Talking to a shop. I believe it’s the 2.5 in front 1.5 rear kit with springs and shocks. So it levels it also. Or close.

I just looked at the Skyjacker website. None of their 2.5" kits are ready to be upgraded to 3.5" with just a spring swap. You'd want to at the very least add an adjustable front track bar and adjustable front uppers or lowers. This way you can center the front axle and get caster set where it needs to be.

Honestly I'd look at something different than Skyjacker if you are going to replace suspension links. Skyjacker coils and shocks are fine, but I wouldn't use their links. I don't trust whatever they're using for link ends.

Ideally you do those parts on a 2.5" lift too.

You can get away without them. Your front axle will be slightly off center. Not a huge deal, just a visual thing. Your caster will be a little low. Might not be a big deal to you.

I like the Clayton 2.5" Ride Right for a lift in that height range, but it is more expensive. About $1,500 list price. You can probably get it for around $1,300 with a sale or discount. This kit does not include shocks, so add for those. $300ish for a decent set of Bilsteins.

What I like about the Clayton kit is you get front and rear adjustable track bars. You also get front, upper adjustable arms. And adjustable sway bar links front and rear. Clayton has been around for quite awhile and they know Jeeps. They make some really nice stuff.

Im running the 3.5" front / 2" rear skyjacker kit and you nailed it with the links. My sway link bushings rotted out super quick.

Otherwise, Im pretty happy with the kit - I HAVE changed out multiple components (Removed the Skyjacker track bar and installed a teraflex, replace their sway links with other brands for front and rear, and replaced the M95 shocks with Fabtechs) but those changes were all done over time. The skyjacker kit served its intended purpose, and was a great budget kit to get me going.

It got the truck lifted nicely, drove better than stock, and handled well through multiple wheeling trips. Then, over time, you can swap out things piece by piece with better, more expensive bits.

But yea, if you get the skyjacker kit, just ditch their sway links and put some other ones on the first time.

I’d love to get Clayton. With that setup. Can I use stock shocks. Or do I have to buy separate shocks to go with it?
