So why are there so many other parts on backorder? There are a lot of parts out there on backorder for the various automakers.The 3.6 is a very reliable engine. That's why there is 12,000 cams on backorder. The replacement part for the re call should be a 6.4 Hemi.
There's also still manufacturing and supply line issues. We've gone ultra-just-in-time in post-covid years.
If the backorder was ALL due to engine issues, you are talking something like 0.1% failure rate. Gee, not bad.
But no one can say the backorder is a direct result of failures - you are guessing.
A fraction of 1%.
One TENTH of one percent.
Not bad, really.
We also can't say ALL failures are a MOPAR issue......... we can bet some are user-caused.
