From what I have seen I think they stopped putting the air dams on all models sometime in the 2021 model year. This is a Sport S that was manufactured in March.

Someone posted a 22 base Sport recently, and I was surprised to see air dams, but it might not have been US.

Here is a 2022 Sport at a dealer in VA. No air dams.

That is a Sport S.

I have a 22 Sport S with no air dams.

The base sport still comes with them tho. I originally ordered a base sport, but had the dealer cancel it and ordered a Sport S with more options. Jeep still sent the dealer the canceled base model and it came with the air dams.

My question for those of you in the thread on 35's and 315's, how many of you are also on 3.73 gears? That my big dilemma right now on pulling the trigger on anything over 33

I have an overland on 3.73 and have absolutely no complaints with the way it accelerates. I specifically went with the method wheels in a 17" size and the 315s in a load range C to try to make it the lightest setup I could afford. I had the exact concerns you do.

One important thing to note though, even though I'm in Florida and it's as flat as it can be, anything over 75mph on the freeway barely sees 8th gear. This really just affects my MPGs. I average about 17mpgs combined if driving normally, 18.5 if I really baby it with these new gas prices.

Done with it
The 8 speed trans has a 4.7 to 1 first gear that is lower than a JK with 4.56's. With 3.73's you won't see 8th much.
So what is better off road, factory tires and 1.5 spacer lift,, or 315-70-17's factory wheels and no lift. ??
