Gladiator on 33” mt’s and stock 4.10’s cant can barely hold 8th gear on the interstate. It constantly needs 6 and 7.

Mine holds 8th gear fine, if yours isn't then you got deeper issues going on with your JT.
Here's mine on 315 70 17 BFGs ,almost 5 minute stretch on I-85 and built like the picture.

This is true. Then with 37s it will hunt between 6-8 when on highway. But will do it with 35s as well. I just regeared to 5.13s. What a difference. Truck will pull in 8th on highway unless you pedal it enough to downshift it.

Dam...what balljoints do you have that last 120K-140K. The OEM ones generally never make it past 20-40K. Now the aftermarket ones, Synergy, Alloy USA, Rare Parts, etc, could definitely see that

My stock ones lasted until 120,000 miles on my JKU, could of been luck but I have other buddies that lasted that long as well. They aren't as bad as most would make them out to be. Most people just want a excuse to swap in aftermarket parts which is perfectly fine. I replaced mine with stock ones when they wore out.

This is true as well. The variable being the highway your on. Flat, hilly, mountainous, winds, etc.
The reality is being the Gladiator is underpowered.

I had similar experience with the clutch on my JKU. I replaced it at 125K, still had plenty of life left in it but was rebuilding the trans due to bearing issue. So it seemed logical while I was there. But I've seen others claim the clutch will be shot in under 100K. Comes down to use and driver.

I'm also on the foot hills ,Piedmont border in North Carolina so we get rolling hills where I'm at, but I did make a trip into the virginia mtns to pick up my Rubi Rails and averaged almost 20 mpgs on that trip. Around town/Hwy I'm averaging 18.5

I am totally walking with you.....build your Jeep for its intended use. I think we all would agree the JT is more attractive sitting on top of 37’s. Just realize that you may have to do more upgrades/modifications to get there and whether it is worth it to you ($$$). I went with 35’s and always wish I did 37’s, but the money just wasn’t there at the time for me to do it right (the way I would want it done) as I had so many other modifications that I wanted to do. That said, they may be in my future when it’s not my DD (I commute 240 miles round trip from 1,000 ft to 4,200 ft on all road types and snow,etc ). But when I get there I may spend that money on a supercharger instead. Not that I think the JT is underpowered, but because I like the idea of having 450hp more than a couple inches!

Curious if anyone saying 37s with 4.10s automatic is fine have towed anything? I have towed with stock tires, max tow, and 34” tires. The 34” tires made a noticeable impact on power towing 3500lbs I cannot imagine what it would be like with 37” tires.

I towed almost 5,000 lbs of rock and trailer with mine about 18 miles on my 315 70 17 BFGs and it did pretty fine. I still managed to stay right at 16 mpgs and it seemed to handle it pretty well. That's the only time I've towed with it and it was way back before I put the front and rear bumper and winch on.

I would not go to 37's without having the 410 diff gearing and the 4:1 transfer. (my max tow came with both) I will be picking up the tazer. I will also be switching back to my 34" tires for trailer pulling, but they are on wheels so no big deal. I love the 37's, even for lo range hill climbing, not a problem

I towed about 6K lbs with my Rubicon, Auto, 4.10s and 37s. It pulled it fine and once up to speed had no trouble maintaining it. This was not a long distance tow, only about 50miles of mixed roads. Biggest problem was I didn't have my brake controller yet so I was very cautious and gave my self lots of room and distance to slow down and stop. That being said, if I was towing that weight long distance, I obviously would want a brake controller installed but definitely feel that my Jeep being regeared will handle it much better all around. I do now have a brake controller in mine. Got and installed the Mopar integrated unit a couple months ago

So glad I went with 37's on mine... was originally on the fence between 35/37. It runs great and looks so much better on 37's
