I'm planning on switching from 35s to 37s soon. Probably 37x12.5r17 General Grabber x3. Just wondering what everyone has found to be a good pressure for wear, ride and fuel economy.

Do the chalk test. What works well on one guy's truck may not on yours. Srs.

Has nothing to do with size of tire. Every tire is different, every vehicle is different.

Google "Tire Chalk Test" and then use it.

What works for someone else doesn't mean it will work for you. For optimum everything, chalk test it.

Start around 32. Wheel width matters here.. but I would guess 30-32 should let it run flat and still have some sidewall rigidity for accurate steering

Winter: 34lbs with BFG AT KO2 37’s on 17x7.5” rim, load range D. Summer 30-32lbs

(oh so scandalous, a 37x12.50 on a 7.5” wide rime??? ?. Other than an occasional stop to run back down the interstate to get my tire that came off, they are no problem. Okay… That’s a joke…. No really it is a joke, never had an issue).

Thats kinda what I thought. Im running 30 on my 35s. I have heard of guys running as low as 25 on 37s but that sounds pretty low.

I try to run 28-32 psi… I set for 30 … it goes up and it goes down depending on how the temp is.

I set my new Duratrac 35s to 30 cold....so it gets up to 32-34.

Discount Tire had them at crazy 45PSI when they installed them.

I do need to get a Tazer or something to reset TPMS.

It depends on wheels ,how much weight had been added to your vehicle and E rated vs C Rated tires, side wall etc....

Chalk test is the best way to find the best foot print or you can eye ball it also. I have found 34psi to be the sweet spot for my Kanati 37 12.5 17 trail hogs. They are E rated and my vehicle looks like this. I'm on stock wheels also. They are wearing evenly all the way across and I've rotated them once so far and have 18,000 miles on them.

I have the E rated nitto terra 37x12.5x18 and have kept at 36 psi for almost 18,000 miles and average 17.5 mpg around town and 19.5 mpg interstate, rides very nice with 2” mopar lift, minor wandering but expected with big tires and aerodynamic as a brick.

Some people use the chalk test to ensure even tire wear. That comes at the cost of fuel economy. Do the math- you’ll save more money in fuel than tire wear by running higher pressure. I run mine at 28 because that’s the way I like them to feel.

Yeah, I did chalk test and came up with 32ish...which also "feels" best to me. Gave up long time ago worrying about fuel economy with Jeeps.
