Here why dont you go hereWouldn’t it be great if there was a 4xe section so people could discuss it instead of using a V8JT thread?
Oh wait -![]()
there isn't even a V8 JT, so why is it even being talked about at all?Wouldn’t it be great if there was a 4xe section so people could discuss it instead of using a V8JT thread?

I personally like the 3.6L but if I was forced to choose an alternative I would take a in-line 6 with a larger bore and stroke .. more torque .
Yea, at this point its a crapshoot with any powerplant they drop into the jt. At least the 5.7 is less complex. The 3.0 hurricane looks very promising but who knows what its longevity will be and the learning curve to maintain it. Is the quality department that oversees cylinder head components for the 3.6 also overseeing quality for the turbos and other components? I like the 3.6 too aside from engine tic anxiety. Hopefully it lasts like it should?I personally like the 3.6L but if I was forced to choose an alternative I would take a V6 with a larger bore and stroke .. more torque .
If the 3.0 hurricane is anything like the 4.0 straight 6 in my TJ, I would love to have one. But other than both having 6 spark plugs in a row, I would expect that the similarity ends right there.Yea, at this point its a crapshoot with any powerplant they drop into the jt. Its a pretty cool powerplant with way more torque and horsepower than the 4.0 and probably quite a bit lighter even with 2 small turbos. If the 3.0 hurricane is anything like the 4.0 straight 6 in my TJ, I would love to have one. To date, the hurricane has been installed in production vehicles for 3 model years. Not a whole lot of time, but I'm curious - are we seeing complaints in the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer or Ram or Charger forums?Yea, at this point its a crapshoot with any powerplant they drop into the jt. The 4.0 was a heavy engine. Less than 50 pounds lighter than the 360, for example. Its a pretty cool powerplant with way more torque and horsepower than the 4.0 and probably quite a bit lighter even with 2 small turbos.
I’ve heard rumors (yeah, I know) that this GME T4 EVO is going to be pushing 324 hp. No word on torque numbers. Supposedly there’s a press embargo ending on Oct. 28th and then info. will be coming out. This is something I haven't heard before is using the revised 2.0T in the 2026 JT.
For 2026 the 2.0L is now the GME T4 EVO instead of GME T4 increasing power from 270HP to 300HP.

The big rumor around here is that amosmoses will never purchase a new or used gladiator with a turbo 4 cylinder. Ive also heard rumblings that he is not even remotely curious about the torque numbers.I’ve heard rumors (yeah, I know) that this GME T4 EVO is going to be pushing 324 hp. No word on torque numbers.
