That cover gets reused as the mating rear cover just transfers over to the new steering wheel.Update: Ordered and should be about 10 days wait on the parts (didn't order a steering wheel). The paddle shifter screw covers are still a mystery. The parts department still pulls up the same one as the OP had but that cover actually goes on the side of the steering wheel (see picture). Apparently, the covers that we need don't exist in any parts diagram. I sent a detailed explanation of what we are looking for, with pictures, to the parts people. Will update everyone if I strike gold.![]()
The smaller cover on the back of the non paddle shifter doesn't fit the larger opening of the paddle shifter unfortunately. I was just showing where the covers go that the OP tried. That cover gets reused as the mating rear cover just transfers over to the new steering wheel.
Is this you trying to mess with the gear indicator or activate the paddle shifters (or both)?
Did you turn off the truck after each setting or make both changes then turn off the truck? Both the indication and the shifters. So on the third one I believe Iwent with the top option. Make sure to have the jeep fully turn off after setting these, I have found it will not all take correctly if you don't and you get weird functions
Well truth be told, I made all the changes and drove around, going wtf! This is all jacked up. Pulled in the garage opened a beer, reviewed all my changes, tuned the truck back on and it worked, lol!
I suppose that is why Tazer's instructions say to have a couple of sleep cycles after making config changes before driving.Do you know if JSCAN works to program the paddles? That is my plan right now as I already have that setup.I am just going to throw this out there. It borders on self promotion, but wth. With my tune the paddle shifters work as good as a manual shift or better, and are absolutely amazing pulling a trailer. The shifts are snappy and to the point and it will hold right up to the last rpm and then shift if you don't.
Dave, would your transmission tune work on a non-blown/engine tuned JT?I am just going to throw this out there. It borders on self promotion, but wth.
