Question about wheels: the hub bore on my 2022 Galdiator sport is 71.50. I presently run Black Rhinos with that bore. As I'm serarching for some new rims many come up with a 78.10 bore that the configurator ceratin sites (like customweelsoffset) say will fit. Then when I go to those brands sites their configuator says they don't fit. For example: Vision wheels and Dirty Life both have wheels I like with a bore of 78.10 that many sites bring us being a fit for my Gladiator, but when I search their sites and use their configurator they say they don't fit. So my question is do any of you know if a wheel with a bore measurement of 78.10 fits our Gladiators. Thx!

The JT is hub centric, not lug centric.

Meaning you should match the factory bore of the wheels. If not, you need to pursue an adapter that would make your larger bore wheels fit as hub centric.

Hub centric is great. I have method wheels that are not and as long as you install the lugs correctly there will be no problem with lug centric wheels. I have spoken to Method about this and their wheels are drilled to be lug centric. The Method center caps are push through the back type that prevent a centering ring. I think that most aftermarket wheels are not hub centric.

I have Method wheels also (305). They are not hubcentric with push thru ceter caps. They run true.

Here's a pretty good explanation of hub vs lug "centric"...

Understanding Hub-Centric vs Lug-Centric Wheel Fitment (roadkillcustoms.com)

The set of Weld wheels I bought for my 2021 Ram 1500 came with hub "adapters".

For pure strength - the shock loading of rough roads, drops, dips, coming off rocks, etc. - hub holding the load is the strongest.
Most of the issues you see with lug nuts, studs and worn holes, etc come from wheels where the lugs have to handle all load and force directions.
I've seen some really bad things happen when the lugs are the only thing holding the forces in all directions. I won't use a wheel that doesn't transmit the load directly to the hub where it belongs but that's just me, I guess. I've thrown away a lot of wheels and done a lot of repairs over the years.
Not suggesting 'you WILL have issues" - just saying it's more likely and more common..... there's a reason the factory design transmits all wheel forces and impacts to the hubs and not lug bolts/nuts.
Hit one of the massive pot holes around Indianapolis and you'll be happy to have a strong wheel/hub connection. It'll jar your teeth so imagine the forces on the wheel.

My 17x8.5” 0 offset Method 315 wheels ARE hub centric with the proper hub bore size. 71.5

Of the machined finish and proper hub bore size offering from Method, the 315 was my only option and gladly accepted. The 315 is also available in black and gold.

I was originally going with Raceline wheels, but… like stated above… I would not do lug centric wheels… personally.

https://www.uswheeladapters.com/hub-centric-rings/

Hubcentric rings are cheap… and put the load back on the hub….

This is the same as wheel spacers… hubcentric wheel spacers aren’t a problem….. non hubcentric spacers are 100% a problem.
