For weeks I’ve been thinking something was wrong with my windshield. I’ve cleaned and wiped to no avail.

I finally figured out the problem…

it’s the sun reflecting off the steering wheel brushed shiny piece behind the horn. That wacky chrome ring.

it reflects perfectly in my line of sight ! Arrrrgh.

anyone ever seen a trim piece I can cover that with? Some vinyl would be perfect. What like a 1/2” or less piece maybe a foot long to wrap around and cover it?

Let us know how that works out. I get annoyed at seeing that reflection too.

Do rubicons/mojaves not have this shiny piece? 2 JLURs and a JTM driven over 100k miles combined and I've never seen the reflection you speak of. Unfortunately I'm out of town so I can go look but I'm guessing it must be black/ non-reflective on some models?

My overland has the shiny trim pieces, can’t speak for any other models. It’s never been an issue for me though.

I added a small piece of matte black vinyl to mine the day I brought them home.

Weird how some problems manifest for some and not others.

It's sort of shiny on my Overland but it's not been a reflection issue. Maybe I sit differently so it doesn't show? Or the inside is so dirty nothing can bounce light?

Ours are dusty and there's usually dog hair blowing around so that could be the secret.

I'm noticed it a few times, when the sun was at the right angle. It's never been an issue for me. I also have a thin butt cushion that keeps my tailbone up off the seat. Maybe the slight height adjustment helps.

I have a 23 rubi, rear of the wheel is shiny. when you see the reflection put your hand over the back of the wheel. reflection goes away.

Wierd I've never had the issue or noticed it? Maybe it's seating position?

Most likely, I’m tall and my seat is all the way back and down.
I’ll try and grab a pic today but it’s not that sunny out today here.
