I am losing it over the "expert Jeep Tech advice" that I am getting over and over. I have a 2022 Glad Sport. Currently stock except Pro Comp Wheels with 33's. My usage for this rig is almost exclusively towing a small camper(or sometimes just tenting gear up top) within a range of 200-300 miles...generally. I would like to upgrade my suspension ONLY for purposes of a little better towing experience. Not that I am completely unhappy. I specifically DO NOT want to lift it more than maybe an inch. I want it to still fit in my garage with a roof CVT. I really never take this truck "wheeling". Some double track with mud or sand spots is about my biggest challenge and I am gentle on my rigs(the reason I do not have a Rubi...that and the cash). The two Jeep techs I took it to said they would only do a 2 inch lift or they did not care to do the work at all. I KNOW there has to be a way to improve the tow without going UP.

I run an unlifted Mojave and wanted a firmer rear with towing and hauling stuff, I got a set of Jeep Max Tow rear springs that have been great. When I got the springs I compared them and the Mojave springs were 1 3/8" taller, so I got a 1 3/8" spacer to put in and have enjoyed the setup. I have a RSI cap 185lbs., an ARB fridge setup 100lbs. and the ride is good, if you take everything off, the ride will be harsher with no weight in bed. When going surf fishing I can have a lot of weight in truck and it does well. White Rabbit here helped with it and he tried them with empty bed and said it was harsher. I'm not sure if you will need the spacer Sport and Max tow sport might be same height, springs are cheap., usually some on marketplace....Jack

PS: A lift doesn't necessarily increase your "weight" capacity, could just make it taller

Synergy makes +1" springs for the JT. With the weight you're planning on it wouldn't really be a lift.

My opinion, change out the steering to something a little stouter. I went with Synergy because I hate jam nuts and they don't use them. Then look at improving your shocks. Something with adjustment so when you're empty it's not as harsh and when loaded you can stiffen it up.

Steering upgrades and airbags in the back would help.

Maybe just do Max tow springs for you use? Could do the rears only see if that gave you what your after.

If it’s more “support” after you could add summo springs or air bags.

But I bet max tow springs would give ya what you want.

If it is just for towing why not just airbags? Inflate them while towing and deflate when your not.

What about your towing experience are you trying to improve? Generally, it's sag, sway, or bouncing. Though helper springs or airbags may level out the vehicle they won't help with sway or bounce and in some cases make bounce worse.

Also, remember that adding springs or airbags DOES NOT increase the towing capacity of a vehicle. That is set by the manufacturer and should not be exceeded but this doesn't sound like your issue.

Without knowing exactly what issue you are trying to improve it is hard to give a definitive answer but, a light-duty equalizer hitch with sway control would solve sag, sway, and bounce when properly configured.

I towed a light 4800lb 26' camper with a full-size Dodge Ram and even though well under the towing capacity of the vehicle it swayed in winds and when passed by semis. An equalizer hitch with sway control made it as if the camper wasn't even back there and eliminated all sway.

Now if it is just sag you can buy just a load-leveling hitch without sway control. I had one of those and though it leveled out the vehicle the sway still existed.

There are many brands of hitches out there and discussing those turns into a which oil is better discussion :) Here is an example of one:

I have this one here and it is a popular one. Towed the camper from NY to CA over 8000 miles in 31 days no issues:

Air bags. Nuff said.
YEP! I have run air bags on several trucks and have never looked back. Totally customizable depending on weight / ride. They wont increase towing capacity, but you can dial in your ride based on weight.

I have airbags in my Mojave and they are perfect for towing.

Have you thought of an on demand air bag assist ? Not sure about specific models, but I've seen air bags inside the springs and other airbag setups that require no lift or allow you to lift when needed.
