AEV High-Steer install.

Installed this kit on the wife’s JLUR over the weekend. JT and JL share the same front. The JLUR is a ‘20 with AEV 2.5” lift, 37” tires, 4.56 gears and Mopar Performance Front Axle. This matters due to thicker axle brackets, rotated housing…etc, over standard factory JLUR axle.
The Jeep was built (me) right after purchase. 6 years of trouble free use. Time for an upgrade.
The steering started becoming a complaint. Loose, wondering…ETC.

First impression. Substantial improvement in steering, steering wheel feed back. Tightened everything up.
The engineering of the kit is also impressive. Super tight tolerances throughout. Everything cleared.
High- Steer kit includes trac bar relocation bracketry. Together this improved the ride quality.
At one point near the end I thought this is a work of Art. Specifically the Drag Link. It is a triangulated concave design. Didn’t make sense till I saw it work.

I did replace the factory ball joints with MC Baller Joints. Also impressive. I will finish up with some welding and paint. Normal JLUR axle would not need welding. I probably don’t need to weld but….

That tie rod clamp doesn’t collide with the diff cover on left turns? Might be a trick of the light there but it looks tight

No. It clears about everything by an 1/8”. Instructions say on the AEV diff cover some grinding is needed.
