Here is the fix for my AEV JLU370. The guy who Fab'd the shackle mounts is Robert Breiter of Bremerton, WA (360) 627-1752. I have not used them yet, and they do not come with any guarantees. If there is a weak link, it would be in the attachment designed by AEV.

Do you have the measurements you used? The Road Master D ring tow adapters come in D ring width size 7/8 inch or 1 inch, hole diameter 7/8 inch or 1 inch and standard or extended length for deeper D rings. eTrailer recommends extended length for wider adaptability, but yours look like standard would work. Also, I would like to see how you attach safety chains.
