First, I am not a tech. I'm an old guy. I've had lots if Jeeps in my time and have loved them all. IMO, this aux battery junk, ESS stuff is a bunch of crap. I've been reading a lot of stuff how to delete, bypass, remove etc. the aux battery.
That said, my biggest complaint about the dual battery system is the location of the aux battery. If you're going to run a dual battery system, at least make them easily accessible! So that a regular Joe can swap them out when they do go bad. (I know, I know, they placed the aux battery where it's at so you'd have to take it to the dealer)
Anyway, I'm having that doggone aux battery removed and installing a Tazer. The wife got stranded this past weekend and I'm sure everyone knows how that went! LOL!
Anyway, it's crazy stuff like this that makes me wish I had my old Scrambler or my old 1970 CJ-5 back. DGMW, I love the Gladiator but it's a Jeep! It doesn't need all this over engineering crap!
