That's a good question, I'm curious about that too. If you unzip the outer mesh, there's easy access in between the two layers of tent canvas. Might be pretty straightforward to sew up some insulation pieces to slip in there for winter camping. I'd be curious to see if it affected folding up.

In other brands it can be left inside, and is usually installed as the first layer (from inside out of the tent) so can be removed easily anyway. But (I don’t have the camper yet), from the design of the tent it doesn’t seem engineered with such considerations in mind and they don’t make a liner themselves. So was wondering if someone tried one of those universal one and found a way to mount/dismount it easily.

It gets pretty damn warm up top with the windows zipped and body heat. A nice blanket or maybe even a heated blanket should be more than enough for nice sleeping even in the coldest weather. If you have the mesh and canvas windows downstairs, the canvas can be zipped on the sides and back door for even more insulation.

AEV 3" DualSport RT suspension installed yesterday. What a difference it made in the ride. Makes my 33's look tiny now. Time for bigger tires!

Time to replace the 285's with 315's on the stock rims?
For some reason, my wife thinks the 33's are too small and my neighbor can get me wholesale on some wheels and tires so I think it will be 5 new wheels and tires. I was thinking about some Black Rhino or Methods. Any suggestions? 315 on some new wheels is in my future!

Random factoids I've been learning (as I install power distribution and appropriate fuses in my new bare-bones ACCC)

The upstairs LED stalk lights draw 80mA each
The pivoting National Luna LED lights draw a max 240mA each on brightest white setting. All 5 on full bright is a surprising 1.2 amps! Good to know if your electrical is running on the starting battery

We have had our ACCC since March 2021. I did not track the usage in 2021, but in 2022 we have used it 22 days. I bought this truck to be my DD and then we decided to add the camper. Since then, I bought an Altima to use as my DD since the JT became a little ungainly to take to work everyday (the Altima is nicknames ‘Dementor’ because it sucks your soul away). While we enjoy the ACCC, lately I have been thinking about selling it and going to a travel trailer or back to tent camping. I want to drive my JT more often without the camper.

Has anyone else had these feelings? How many nights are you guys using your ACCC? Is it your DD? I also considered another JT, but I would lift it, change bumpers, winch, etc so it would be pricey and kind of silly.

I've had my ACCC installed on my DD since March 2021 as well. I can't begin to estimate how many nights I've stayed in it, but it's a lot. I have access to a secluded property less than 10 mins. from home, so I'll often stay a few nights a week if the weather is good. I haven't started feeling like you described, which is kind of surprising since I typically don't keep vehicles for long. But, I love this Jeep and I love the ACCC. The setup is dialed in for my needs. I've thought about buying a "winter" car, but in today's economic climate, I can't really justify the excess. For now, I'll keep enjoying it and take care of it.

Mine is my daily driver but also my "parts showcase" for when I am traveling. I totally love mine as a daily but I also use it to haul UPS orders daily so that is helpful. Having a full time composting toilet in the truck helps me travel more also LOL. For me, I am lucky, we also have a 22 JLU so I can switch back and forth driving that Jeep if I want to be a little more zippy. I use both for parts development.

We have a JLR also, but it is my wife’s so I only get to drive it occasionally. It is zippier than the JT. It might be zippier than my Altima.

Technically it is my Wife's but we both work from home so it makes it easier to grab and go for a quick errand, plus we are almost always together if we go out :)

Anyone tried a light bar on the front of the ACCC? Wondering if the shadow of the cab would make it unworkable. (One night wheeling session with the sharp LED headlight cutoffs and aux lighting went to the top of my list, lol)
