I personally rotate the water out every few weeks and keep it full. I use this RV water treatment (think it's basically bleach). I keep the Jeep ready to go as an emergency shelter and the water is my emergency water supply.Looking for some advice on how people are maintaining their water tanks. The placement of the water tank outlet(s) mean that there is an inch or so of water left in the tank that can't be easily drained. Wondering how hard I should try to get this remaining water out. The tank is going to sit unused for maybe a month or so between trips.

And the old water isn't wasted, I use it to water the grass or for washing stuff.
