We love not having to stow another piece of gear and it rolls up in about a minute.
Thanks for the impression, it goes pretty much exactly with our own. Now, to repeat my question: when it is raining and the shower cube is packed away, is there water getting into yours?

Sorry, I didn't realize you meant while it is rolled up. No, we haven't had that problem.

Hmmm, that's interesting. We've found water in there multiple times. Will probably need to go with a seam sealer over the whole bag ... bummer, this sucks.

And some Sikaflex on the plate where it attaches.

Just over a year of having the camper and it has been an amazing addition. I'm super bummed because I may have to sell due to job relocation. :(

Why not take it with you? Man I sure do miss the puget sound. Looks great on your rig.

Thanks! I would genuinely love to, unfortunately having no car note moving forward may end up being more appealing.

Another picture as Jeep tax:

I hope this is okay to post here:

I'm about to put a set of original Alu-Cab mosquito nets up for sale. Two side window inserts and one for the door. They are unused, the side window packages never opened, the door package opened and held up to the door ...

We basically found that they don't work with our build. We have too much customization (like door opening to the other side, high furniture on the inside) to make them work.

Selling them for 10% off new price. Preferably somewhere in Northern California or so to avoid shipping, but if they need to be shipped, ping me anyways and we'll figure something out.

Link to for sale post.

Oh, and if you see this here and we can avoid shipping somehow (I'm in NorCal), ping me for a discount.

We've had one on two different rigs and I'll be adding one to my current camper as well. We've tried a few different brands of shower tents over the years, including some awning styles of the original Quick Pitch, and unsurprisingly, the Alu-Cab shower cube just works the best. We haven't tried any of the newer brands which seem like a knock off of the Quick Pitch or Alu-Cab mechanism for the most part.

The Alu-Cab zippers work better and are better located. If you camp in the rain a lot, keep in mind there is no roof, which is true of most of the awning style shower rooms. It's not something we thought a to about when we first had one. It was attached to our RTT and the ladder was right next to it, which made it awkward to climb. It wasn't used often enough to be a problem, of course, but it felt a little odd to climb the ladder and suddenly be looking right down into the bathroom. Not a problem so much with the ACCC, of course since we enter from the camper.

Keep in mind, also, that the awning style have some adjustability as to their height but you'll likely have a small gap at the bottom, especially on a lifted vehicle. Some folks might feel a bit self conscious with he feet/ankles exposed, whereas shower tent walls go all the way to the ground.

We love not having to stow another piece of gear and it rolls up in about a minute.
Luckily the new AC Shower Cube now has a roll out/velcro top. You can even buy the new fabric kit with the roof (which I have) but it requires drilling out all of the rivets to install the new one so I have not changed it yet.

Yeah, I actually think they are great for a camper that doesn't have a lot customization in terms of furniture, or a different door setup. Our's is probably one of the worst in that regard – our door opens to the other side, one window has the travel oven and a fold down table being supported by the "window sill", the other one will get a back support for the bench there which will also be a small storage compartment, accessible through the window.

Now, that basically means we can't use them. Should have thought beforehand about it. If the truck isn't build RV-like as our's is and/or you're using for example furniture staying within the height of the bed, I believe they are great.

I get a little bit of moisture in mine also. I believe it is coming in through the back where the cube and cover attach to the mounting bracket. The moisture is limited to the rear of the cover when I unzip it. This doesn't happen at all with the awning. It hasn't been bad and I live in a fairly arid climate, so haven't chased the issue (yet).

For our tent it seems that the mount points are one point of ingress, but the seams are as well. We have standing water in the thing after a hard rain, which does happen in California in winter quite regularly.

We'll put seam sealer on the seams and will try to fix the mount point ingres. Will have to take it off to do so.

I used a double bulb seal and Sikaflex 221, I first took off the bed cap and laded down 2 3/8" Window weld sealer by 3m plus more 221. Put the Jeep cap down on then the double seal with 221 between the bulbs. Sealed all other seams inside and out plus the inside of the bed with 221. So far no leaks washing with my pressure washer.

Our camper itself has no leaks, just the shower tent is always soaked after a rain. We'll air it out whenever it has rained here, but it's annoying as heck ...
