I got my Alu-Cab canopy over the weekend and decided to install last night. Pretty easy to install. There are gaps at the front so I used Windo Weld by 3M around the entire base. Hopefully it works keeping water out. Quality of the canopy is great but I’ll say the weather stripping it came with on the base (part that touches the bed) isn’t the best or at least mine isn’t. Glue is everywhere and it’s rolled once.

I also have a slight gap between the tail gate and canopy door. Not enough to fit a finger in. A little weather striping would fix that.

And I also have a broken side window latch. Place I ordered from said they’ll send a new one.

Anyone know how to wire up the brake lights and interior light’s specifically for the gladiator? I must be doing something wrong in my searches as I can’t find anything useful.

EDITED TO CORRECT WIRE COLOR 2023-06-22
The AVO shop guy told me this. Haven't done it yet. The wires that come out of the tailgate, follow them to underneath the bed. The white with green stripe wire is the brake, connect red wire. Ground it anywhere.

They run a wire to the battery for the lights so it's hot all the time.

That is interesting, I too had a broken window latch on mine on install, installer said "just play with it and see if it starts to work, if not we will replace." AVO, which installed mine has been very helpful (excluding the installation of broken equipment) my replacement is coming from OK4WD, once they have them in stock.

I ordered the canopy from OK4wd and they just sent me a replacement latch. So you should expect yours soon. It’s not 100% identical though.

Side note for potential buyers - I live on a 1 miles gravel road and after a few days you’ll for sure get dust in the bed from the tail gate gap (which mine isn’t abnormally large). A little weather stripping will fix it but something to be aware of.

I usually have bikes on the back of my truck and they block the taillights. I have a 1Up rack with the auxiliary light kit, but having a swing out means I have to unplug it when I want to swing the bikes to access the bed. So I wired up some auxiliary brake and turn lights on the canopy. It works well and looks good. I had a similar setup on my canopy camper.

Anyone here have the alucab cupboard? I’m wonder if you can tell me the height of the bottom of the cupboard to the bed floor. Wonder if I can fit a ico vl70 and a fridge slide.

Im pretty sure it does not fit. Wish it did since I have aa vl65. But my current slide is tall. I remember it won't fit under a tonneau with a regular slide.
