The Labor is 40 hours 4000.00. I am having psc steering installed as well another 5000.00 ish. They will do almost anything in the process but you have to be careful it adds up. I am also doing there coil spring package and an alignment.
They also do engine trans credits from time to time on your v6 package if you don't want to try to sell it yourself.

If I have a 392 installed will it affect my warranty??? LOL Will my Rubicon drivetrain handle the 392? Does anyone know for sure if the AMW 392 is Carb cert?

I am sending my Gladiator to AMW next week for a 392 swap, they will also be doing PSC steering at the same time along with a few other things including drive shafts. This is the first time in my 60 year history letting someone else lay a finger on one of my vehicle's. I did my first v8 engine swap in my 81 Toyota pickup when I was 20 so this is going to be hard for me.

So far the experience has been fantastic other than sending in the deposit check. LOL I am shipping the truck from Ca to Michigan next week then me and my Son are flying out on Nov 9th spending the Day at AMW and driving it home.

The truck as of now is on stock axle housings with RCV's in the front, Reid Knuckles, ball joint deletes and Chromoly axles in the rear, sitting on 37's. I have 4:56 gears and ARB's front and rear. I am what I consider a Rock Lander toughest trail so far is probably 5 rated but next year I hope to step that up a bit and see how this goes.

We have been debating on Idaho or montana for several years now. The cold is getting tougher though. We may end up im the Appalachian mountains because it’s much closer and the winters aren’t nearly as brutal. I went to college up there and lived in Asheville a while. I may push further west to Tennessee and rural. Nothing beats the views we have seen in montana though. Who knows.

I like Montana just can't deal with the cold. I'm a coastal bird and I might have issues if I am not near a constant influx of salt air and water on my soul.

I decided the simplicity of the 392 was the way to go for me, I am not building a race car or street hot rod. I just want good reliable HP which I think 500 is more than enough, this was only a dream in the 80's and 90's. If the drivetrain in the 392 Wrangler can handle it this should work as well. I know they made some changes with the 392 with all wheel drive to help which I won't have but I had a 600HP 96 Dodge Ram Diesel and when treated with respect it held up for 200k miles and was really reliable.

So this is added to the cost of the original gladiator purchase price. Do you get a warranty of some kind from AMD? Total investment north of 150000.00 some where? I can think of a lot of crap to do with that much scratch. good luck and have fun.
