How do you like the Line-X? What did they charge? Thinking of keeping the liner off my order and having them do it locally.
Visually it looks great, can't say for performance yet. My dealer removed my factory liner when he heard of delay and it was about $50 bucks more w/ tax, so a negligible amount. Others on the forums have said aftermarket Line-X is about double the thickness of factory option.

Today I painted my bumper inserts. I used paint and peel and did not paint my original inserts. These are off a bumper I bought for $25.

This was only a two beer job:beer::beer: Look at the poor beer I have to drink after I bought my JTR:crying::CWL:

I bought this set at Harbor Freight for $6 to help pull out the push rivets or whatever they are called.

Popped off all but bottom inside rivet.

Swing it down so that I could get to the 7mm screw hidden in the little square hole.

Take pic open another beer.

Pop off the insert using new nylon pry bar and pop in the new one.

Repeat until your beers are gone.

I am not sure if I like it yet. I may try white next week. What do you guys think?
nothing like harbor freight to the rescue - Silly little tools like that - yet minimize prying or scratch with screwdriver - worth every penny

Got that. I didn't know what the "2nd hood latch closed" thing was you were talking about in relation to ESS.

I put my Extang 2.0 on my JT and caved on the ESS and did the 2nd hood not closed switch unplug. Lasted 4 whole days and said enough of this crap.

Ha longer that I probably will. After nothing but bad experiences with other cars with ESS.....I see myself pop'n the hood at the dealer when I pick mine up =P

Yeah, the warning is no big deal, flashes up when you start and disappears right away. then you have the "a" symbol with the exclamation point light on in the right corner of the information screen. My dad asked me about it, I told him my Gladiator's ASS was turned off. My wife and I are calling it the Avenger jeep since the warning light kind of reminds us of the Avengers symbol.

I’d be interested to see what white would

Did a little personal life hack type thing on my JT today. Long weekend trip reminded me that I have long legs that typically put my knee right on and floor mount shifter in any vehicle I have driven. It is in just the wrong spot and is like a pressure point area or something. Anyway I took a cheap can coozi that someone gave me and rolled it up and popped it on top of the transfer case shifter and then covered it with a bottle coozi sipped up and then zip tied at the bottom. Problem no more and I can still easily shift the transfer case.

You know... that’s a marketable idea... they make covers like that for the center console in those materials ... why not make a cover with cushion for the 4wd shifter??? Hell’s... they make different shift knobs why not this.
