Are there any led replacement headlight bulbs that are a quality drop in replacement for the halogen housings?

Or would I be better off replacing the entire assembly.? If so, is there a budget friendly option?

Tired of the mediocre output of the oe halos.

We run the Diode Dynamics SL2's in the '21 and have run Oracle LEDs in the '21 .. Both work very well for us. Follow the instructions on "Clocking" the bulbs. I have to check on our '23 which came with LEDs on possible change as I HATE THE HALO. Good Luck

There are some direct replacements for the factory "bulbs". I ran some in my '15 JK, and now in my '21 JT. Much better light, and don't overpower the oncoming traffic.

Everything I've ever had from Diode Dynamics has been thoughtfully designed and well built. Never bought just bulbs, but I wouldn't hesitate to if the need arose.

Whatever you end up getting, take the advice provided in an earlier post above and make sure the bulbs can be properly adjusted in the housing ( a lot of the cheap Amazon options cannot) so they provide useful light instead of just chucking it everywhere and blinding everyone you come across. Nobody wants that.

I'm thinking of adding LED bulbs too. I also don't like the halo, but mostly I like the halogen housing for the little jeep grill in them

That can be disabled with the Tazer, and maybe other devices.
but tazer is not bringing the little jeep grills to the factory LED's.. lol

Sylvania makes a Silverstar LED build that fits the Gladiator. The low beam is great with the Halogen housing—not so much the high beam. Had a light bar so the highs were not a problem but much improved over factory halogens. $99 bucks from Autozone

Just beware that although it is very easy pickup a set of LED bulbs, LED replacement bulbs are not legal for on-road use inside of headlight housing designed for halogen bulbs. This is technically a modification of safety device and was not tested or approved by DOT/NHTSA/FMVSS108. Can you get a ticket for it yes... Likely hood, probably not. I know Diod dynamics and headlight revolutions have these notices on their websites.
Also this article from NHTSA... scroll towards the bottom where the "discussion" paragraph starts

I cannot recommend enough the Morimoto Super 7. They are worth every penny and give just a little more light than the Jeep LED. They broadcast an amazing light pattern and have a really awesome cut-off. I bought these for my JK and when I went to sell it, I bought a cheap set of replacement headlights so I could move these to my Gladiator. I would do these again in a heartbeat number one because of their performance but also since they have a different look than anything stock.

Also, this is an area I would not try to skimp on money. The factory halogens are so so poor in light output and being able to see in the dark is not a place that I think anyone should try to save a few dollars. Visibility is a key factor for safety.

I know some people don't like the look of them and honestly I originally was not much of a fan of the look but I do get a LOT of compliments on them. Not yet installed, but I bought some 3rd party switchback halos that I'll be mounting on the face of the adapter ring. I have also seen people add accent lights in the void area that really make a cool look.
