I love mine (2021 Sport S) just not the tires. I will eventually upgrade them but not in a rush

I'm with you guys. The Max Tow with just upgraded tire is a pretty awesome truck. I would have loved to keep the stock tires for the functionality but sometimes you have to go for the look. Dont plan on doing anything else to it to be honest.

What Tires are those? Can't quite make it out.

No...and no offense but stock JTs look like shit. The JTR and JTM are the very base a JT can be and almost look alright. Just barely. My opinion is also swayed by the fact that I offroad my JT so base models look "useless" to me.
You do realize that nothing following the phrase "no offense, but" is ever inoffensive, and rarely is it intended to be.

A bit of an update.

I now have 6100 miles on my JT and it’s better than anticipated. We just got back from a short vacation in FL and drove home 1200 miles back to PA. I haven't reset the mileage/MPG screen since I bought it as I want to track the overall MPG. Much to my surprise I saw 22.7mpg while in FL and now that I’ve returned home, it’s still at 20.7mpg. I did the drive home straight thru and had it on cruise most of the way at 75-76mph. Other than having every damn bug in 7 states splatter into the windshield, it was quite uneventful. One small stone chip in the windshield, but no cracks which I had actually expected. The drivers seat, which I initially thought was a bit uncomfortable, was really not an issue. I do like to more upright seating position in this truck vs my RAM and visibility is very, very good.

Overall, I’m satisfied to this point with the purchase and looking forward to many more miles…….

I just had my max tow delivered to my driveway the 28th and very happy with the way it sets. Gonna be pulling a 26' travel trailer that we pick up on Monday. When the Bridgestone Duelers wear out, I'll probably add a little more aggressive A/T tire. Really liking the way it sits.

I paid 34500 for my 2020 MT Sport. I went straight for the Max Tow as I am pulling a teardrop camper across the country. I agree, a nice Max Tow graphics pkg would be awesome

I did no lift and threw 37s on my Mojave. its totally fine. can't really tow like that tho. I will upsize to 35s tho on my stocks for daily. should still tow fine with that setup. I like 4.10s, id rather add more power than gear higher personally. 392, 4.10s, 37s, probs get some sweet highway mpgs with that. Thats my goal anyway.

Damn! i read through this whole thread and some of ya'll woke up on the wrong side. Just let people like what they like. Better is subjective. I don't get why why people keep trying to shuffle JTM, JTR,JTMT, and JTOs as to which is the best. Cus it doesn't exist. There is no best. There is best for YOU. I'm just happy Jeep offers enough diversity that everyone can find their perfect piece of Jeep pie. I get that it cost nothing to be a dick, but maybe save the hate for that prius in the left lane doing 10 under.

On my second MT now. 2020 took to 71K miles and this 2023 just hit 11K miles. Swapped on some Rubicon wheels and tires past Friday.

Just a great deal and package even if you are not going to tow. Amps, Cooling, wide tracks, 4.10 on dual 44s. A working persons Jeep!

I will swap in a simple crate Rubicon axle soon, plug and play and just a little more money then letting some shop beat on my ride. Will also keep my locker off the can-bus. IMO.

I have had this Jeep JT Max Tow for a year and a half and I can’t get myself to lift it. I want 37’s in my head and I’ve had plenty of Jeeps, most all lifted and taken off road. This Max Tow just does so well as is. The gearing and the small tires keep it peppy. All of the complaints I hear about the 3.6 being weak. Yes, I am sure after a lift and bigger tires it feels that way... but these certainly aren’t sports cars or muscle cars and they don’t need to be rock crawlers either.

I have towed close to the Max with this truck and it does so well! I have had 3 of the 1 Ton Crew Cab 8 ft bed 7.3 diesel Fords. All tuned and beastly, but they are so BIG! I never towed the Max with those trucks. I pulled my wakeboard boats with them and used one for building my house. I think the most I ever towed with a goose neck was around 12k lbs.

When I bought the Max Tow I was coming from a lifted 2016 Rubicon JKUHR on 35’s. I Loved the JKUHR and it was a manual that I daily drove. When I traded the the JKUHR for the Max Tow I thought I would lift the JT, put some 37’s on it right away... but it is soooo good just the way it is.

The more I use it, the more I drive it, the more I love it.

The Max Tow is a special edition that is so overlooked and IMOP misunderstood. Out of all the JTs these Max Tow Jeep trucks are the ones that made the engineers really think hard on how to achieve what Jeep wanted. They had to test the Jeep Truck Max Tow to make sure it was what Jeep wanted the Gladiator to be. Jeep wanted a real pickup truck, not a wrangler with a bed. The Jeep brass knew that if they made that pseudo truck, the Gladiator would have been a joke. The competition would have raked it over the coals. Jeep wanted the Gladiator to best all other brands with the top payload and best towing in its class. The engineers had to do it with a fixed hood height and grill width too... you can’t change the look too much on an Icon. The Max Tow has to keep the approach angle that the wrangler and the other JTs had. They managed to pull it off! With bigger grill slots, bigger brakes, improved cooling system, wider heavier duty axles, 4:10 gears and an 8 speed automatic.

The Max Tow IS what gave us all the opportunity to buy a convertible Jeep Truck. The Max Tow is the benchmark Jeep set for their engineers when they created the Gladiator. A real mid sized truck best in class. The Rubicon has already been done with the wrangler, so it is no surprise that they would do the same treatment on the JT. No big deal to the masses if they released a Wrangler dressed as a truck, even with the Rubicon sticker. The Max Tow is what benchmarked the Gladiator as a real truck! When I role by the Yota, Chebby and Ford mid sized truck owners towing 6+ thousand pounds up a mountain at the speed limit. This just makes me feel good. I know their mid size trucks can’t do it! They certainly can’t do it with the top down!

The Max Tow IS the ultimate Jeep convertible pickup truck! Jeep really did an amazing job with it and I just don’t want to mess it up!

Rubicon owner here, but one without hate for any other trim. Just want to say the Rubicon isn't 5-12k more than a Max Tow. It's like 1100 more, maybe 3000 more, if you need the automatic, when similarly equiped. Not trying to start a flame war, because each trim serves a purpose, but the price difference just isn't that great.

Rubicon - $44,240, or 46240 with automatic
Max Tow - $43,140.
The price is about the same. It's all preference. I would have gotten a max tow, but I drive stick. And I wanted the 33s and mud tires. My trim isn't "better", and neither is yours. They are just different. Also, the Rubicon does just fine off-road.
Rubicon auto tows 6000 lbs, so it's no slouch either. Given the minimal price difference between the two, I can see why someone who needs to tow to less than 6000 (or not tow at all) would choose a Rubicon. I can also understand why someone who needs that towing capacity, would choose the Max Tow package. Different strokes for different folks. Neither is terribly inexpensive, and the Rubicon is not a whole lot more than the Sport S with Max Tow added, just different.
I paid 34500 for my MT
