I am looking to install the ARB dual either behind the fender well or under the seat but I have two questions. Has anyone who has installed the ARB dual pump under your seat have any issues with heat when using the pump? If you have installed it behind the fender well, have you had any issues with water or debris affecting the pump?

Thank you.

Why not behind the rear seat? 813 Fabrications makes a nice bracket for it.

I will take a look at those, Thank you. Are either of you using those by chance?
I have the adventure labs. Compressor gets hot- but hasn’t me tilted anything around the cage/box it mounts in.
The rear seat removal is a lot more intimidating in thought than actuality- took 5 min.

I mounted my ARB twin on the firewall. To date, I have had no problems with dirt, debris and water.

No issues under the seat at all. In fact, if you want to be extra cautious, you can turn on the AC and direct toward the floor vents. There is a vent under the seats that will dump within 2-3 inches of the non air intake side.

Thank you! Looks like it will either be under drivers seat or behind the rear seat now. Just have to decide which one.

Let me know if you have any questions about our mounts. I have several different ways to mount the ARB twin/single compressors as well as ViAir compressors on the Gladiator. I have two new mounts almost complete in production for the new ViAir VMS system if you haven’t seen their new system.

I've had mine "behind" the rear seat for well over a year using an 813 Fab mount. For me, it's perfect. I even had it there before I did the rear seat delete and still it was perfect.

I can't say one is better than the other. My buddy has his under the passenger seat and likes it. Personally, I think about things like "maintainability" in that behind the back seat offers way more access if you need to do anything with/to it.

Also, think about your own personal use case. Behind the rear seat is a spot that I probably wouldn't use constructively; however, my wife likes to keep her "potty pack" under the passenger seat for ease of access when out on the trail. She probably wouldn't let me use that space for an air compressor mount...LOL

I have the 813 bracket. Love it, installed a subwoofer behind the other seat so it's really just wasted space to me.
