All I can tell you is $173.00 for 12v dual rope lights installed seems super expensive depending on what they are and "installation" really is.

Love that they are starting to produce these but the rounded back end looks awful.

Here’s my invoice.

Has anyone ordered a similar one?

Do the prices look reasonable?

I will get the invoice with the (outdoorsman side windows, front slider and yakima roof rails but mine was about $2k.

I added tilt dow front window so I can clean both sides $90.
Dual row led rope lights $173.
Two cloths hangers $62
Yakima Rack with JetStream crossbars $569

$894 in extras.
TAX $269
That’s $1163 above one that’s body paint, windows, and liner. Liner is free right now.
One dealer in my area.... supply and demand...

FYI, ARE just sent me this rendering that will be posting soon on the site.

FYI, I paid under $2k for mine primed with outdoorsman, free carpet upgrade, sliding front window and yakima rails.

Dang this looks great to me.

They will tell you ~500lbs based on my prior experience shopping for my Tacoma but from most reports (which might just be the squeaky wheel), most who tried the mid-grade or heavier RTT on top of a standard fiberglass shell have seen cracking over time when it's used off-road and/or with multiple people. It might be fine if you are running an ultralight or smaller tent and just you up there.

This looks far better than I expected it to but without the HD frame inside, it's a non-starter for me because I too want to throw a tent up there at some point in the distant future.

Yeah, maybe it's the angle but that's the first that I've liked the look of a topper on the Gladiator. That ~500 is a bit scary, too. An RTT + 2 people and you are getting close, quick. Too bad.

$2925?? WOW!!! Thats sounds really high? Mine is paint matched with windows and liner and it was $1695. I am amazed at the price variations across the country for the same product!
If you're looking to put anything on top of it, you're very close to Alu-Cab, RLD and RSI pricing.
I will be the 2nd to admit (wife was the first) that my ordered Alu-Cab is EXPENSIVE, but it meets my needs and wants nicely, so i'm paying for it.

Years of driving CHEAP Honda Civics is finally making me not feel terrible about dropping cash on cool Jeep stuff.

Most people want a rtt on these and not making a HD option seems insane to me considering this is for a Jeep Gladiator. Someone dropped the ball at ARE. Especially with their higher prices and not make it HD for heavier loads? Shame.

not to mention that the fiberglass units are heavier than the RLD / Alu-cab options

Agreed 100%. I've been pestering them in an effort to try and get them to speed up production, but I'm only one man.

What confuses me is that they are literally the exact same mold. All they have to do is insert the HD skeleton, so I can't quite understand why the Classic and the HD weren't a joint launch.

This is completely my opinion, but to me, all of the steel/aluminum options look absolutely horrible. I think that all companies have completely missed the mark in that regard. They don't follow the lines of the vehicle at all.

From a purely functional standpoint though, they are far superior to the A.R.E. option.
