I'm in agreement with some others on not being a proponent for drop control arm brackets. That's with a caveat on how much lift, but 2 in. shouldn't really need it. Now the question is how much "lift" did you actually get, that would possibly be some of it. The addition of adjustable arms can skew handling or not letting the OEM bushings relieve tension and the re-torque with axles holding vehicle. Some lift kit springs are not set correctly for the weight of the vehicle. (The picture is from the alignment done on mine) the caster is still off.

This may add slight twitchiness to steering vs factory setup.
Now my 90XJ would likely been better off with drop brackets. But that lift was 7.5-8.5 from stock in front with shorter control arms. With it the rod-ends / tie rods get some wear I would get D.W. around 45 mph and could accelerate past it to 50-55 mph. most of the time.

My 3.5" lift springs yielded 5" of lift in front. The angle on the front control arms was pretty large. I put the Metalcloak brackets on, and it wasn't subtle. As predicted, reduced chatter and steering wheel kickback on crap pavement and washboards, less brake dive. Feels all around more stable.

Reduced clearance, sure but you'll just be sliding on the bracket when you would otherwise have been sliding on the control arm or rocker slider. Biggest problem might be if you have to reverse, right after dropping off sliding on the bracket onto the skids.

If the drop brackets don't cause a clearance issue for what you use your JT/JL for I recommend them . I feel that the majority of people who are na sayers have not tried them or may of had a clearance issue . As far as normal everyday driving they are probably one of the most noticeable positive improvements I have made post lifting . Their is a reason they are called Geometry correction brackets not just caster correcting brackets , their is more than caster involved here

The drop brackets do not come down any farther than the stock rear lower control arm brackets. If you are going to have clearance issues with the drop brackets then you are probably already dragging the rears.

Metal cloak, teraflex and Rancho say 2.5
and AEV says 2”

I’m curious to know what the stock measurement is of the area indicated in the image I posted. Before any lift is installed.

If you want to correct caster for 2 inches of lift you can always grab the Mopar 2inch lift control arms. Part number is 68322798AA.

At time of install, I got a full 3.5" up front and only an inch in the back. Now that the springs have settled some I suspect that's closer to a 3" but I can't be 100% sure since I've replaced the tires and probably gained roughly half inch in height from the new tires alone.

Hmmm, that's a good idea. I'll look at those

The Mopar arms are cheap, but I wouldn’t bother with them because of the fixed length. I’d rather spend more for adjustable arms so they can be set for any height.
