Mine are still in the box from the original group buy. Went to install them and the PNP connector was so tight that i didn’t want to force it and risk damaging the factory harness. Contact Oracle and the response was, “ just push harder “. Been in the electrical utility business for 28 years, there is a difference between a connection being tight and having to force something to work. I felt like the only way I could have got the connections together was a pair of pliers and wasn’t going that route.

Hey! We created additional harness length after many concerns were brought to our attention. If you are still interested in installing we are happy to send you the new harness!

I put a bit of silicone dielectric on mine and it helped. They do fit snug but they work. Automotive fittings can be like that and have been for decades. I have had to use force to get some regulator and tail light connectors together.

I have the Oracles and like them a lot. It lights up a large area and really lets you see everything

I would love for them to work and not just sit in the box in my garage. Maybe the new harness will be the fix. PM me please. Thanks.

I put dielectric silicone on mine also, I know the connectors are supposed to be tight for moisture purposes but I felt like I was going to tear one if not both ends up if I was forcing it any harder. Hopefully a new harness will do the trick. I really want the lights to work, because the window tint guy accidentally put a little darker than legal on my front 2 window and it’s a tad dark seeing out at night. ??

Be careful. They'll melt the finish off anything parked behind you. This was taken in the daylight - sun coming in through that window and the backup lights STILL showed like this.
To sort of quote Al Gore - these are brighter than the sun.

Just curious if anyone has tried any of the yellow film to help diffuse the light any?

Why? (meaning why would they?)
I want them to light up several feet behind me when backing down our drive in bad weather, or for use when hooking up my car hauler, loading and strapping down a car, etc.
If they had been less bright, I'd not really want them.

Just didn’t know how bright they were? Oracle is sending me a new harness so I can get mine installed. Was just curious if they were blinding bright or not?

The idea is - don't go backing down the city streets into oncoming traffic.
Yeah, if you are parallel parked and put it into reverse to back up to pull out of the parking spot, and there's someone sitting in the car parked behind you, they may be unable to drive for a few minutes, but the times backup lights are used there shouldn't be anyone staring right into them anyway.

BTW - the image of my bumper backup lights shows them lit while truck is not running - they are connected to aux switch 4. That way I can power them for light in the back without having someone sit in the truck, brake on, in reverse.

Same. I actually decided not to do the diode thing, as I don't find that I need them in most reverse situations. I got them for camping and trailer work.
