I've had quite a few battery issues with this truck, so long story short I decided to put in a battery tender.
I didn't really want to add another piece of equipment under the hood and my wife would also need to deal with this when I was away, so I needed to find a nice easy solution.
I ended up putting the tender (NOCO 2A) in an outdoor enclosure and mounted on my garage wall.
To make the connection to the truck I found this kit from Hethelsport:
https://hethelsport.com/tools/charger-connection-kit/
It's not the cheapest way to go, but it works really well.
The location for the charge port wasn't my first choice, but it works really well and if/when my wife completely forgets about the charger it just pops off as she backs out of the driveway.
It's barely noticeable and I think once I repaint the grill it will blend in even more.
I even added a light pipe onto the noco so we can see the charging status without opening anything up..
