An update from my end...we went from sketch to initial CAD and now did the measurements to finalize the CAD and cut in 3mm for all plate work and 42mm x 2.8mm which tube for the rest. Should be 100% bolt on and in 5 pieces

Looks nice - how are you liking the TRECK?

so far so good. I’m excited about the versatility. I have it at the lowest setting and didn’t mount the lower legs, so those are the only left over parts. I suppose I could have nested them on the uppers.

it is really quite sturdy. I had the impression that some of these might be kind of flimsy but wow, it is NOT. Very well made.

Custom made...my design...local fab shop executing...should be done by end of week (not powder coated so we can make sure it has all we need)

I was going to ask how much it costs to have a fab shop do that, but i see you're in Dubai.......gotta be different expense than local Middle Wisconsin.

Thanks! No, I actually failed Mech Eng back in undergrad ...but I've built several vehicles in different forms/functions (Dual Purpose 110 on 37s, Overlanding Discovery 2 door, older Disco truggied on 42s, etc...)

Most experience was a full on Defender truggy with only around 4' left in the chassis and the rest custom made to accommodate the LQ4, NV4500, Hero 3, RW2.5 axles, dual 16" ORIs, 4 links F/R, 54" tires, triple winches, Jaz cell, etc...while maintaining the Defender single cab under the exo-cage so we can enjoy warm snow runs (Mountains of Lebanon) or lighten her up for summer wheeling without the top:

Not sure if you noticed but the wife's 67 Camaro has that reserved, it's a Rubicon stock suspension and tires, and top measures roughly 7'4", I don't think it would.

14" Voodoo Rack with Tuff Stuff tent. I had a full rack on my previous truck, and having the tent mounted on a half rack definitely improves the ride quality.

I changed from the Front Runner RTT since the pricing did not work out thru a local retailer as promised. I went with the Tepui Explorer Series Kukenam 3 person tent in haze gray. Still mounting it to my 14" Max Modular Aluminum rack. Waiting on everything to arrive now. Update on my prototype (already severe things I want to change...but key thing is that it works with the OEM Tonneau...). The tent goes overboard by around 29"...if/when I put a rear tire on the rear bumper it should be OK...however, I would REALLY prefer IF ONLY AT Overland does a 180 flip forward tent that replaces the OEM hard-top as they used to have back with the JK...that would be ideal and the rear RTT can be a 2 person one then for when all 5 of us go...
