Physical Therapy or Yoga. I'm legally disabled, but I'm a freak of nature regarding recovery, it's90% mindset. I just put my foot on the tailgate and step up, and under 6' too haha.

But I do have a HF folding stool for my grandmother when she comes along.
Does she hang her tongue out when she rides in the bed?

Nah, she's too busy complaining about her hair blowing around because the top or door is usually off. "Gram, you're really complaining about the wind in your hair? You keep cutting it shorter and soon you won't have any hair to complain about..."

She didn't think that was funny.

Got them installed. Now when I slip off, it will cut my shin like a cheese grater LOL.
Feels much better getting into the bed now. Seems like I’m always needing up there when the tailgate is down. I definitely recommend!
BTW I’m 200 lbs and they don’t seem to flex.

Nice write up. They do look a tad “aggressive” and hopefully you don’t find out what they do to a shin for a long while yet. 😂

I just do the jump and spin my butt onto the tailgate when I have to get in there real deep like. I keep the tool boxes closer to the tailgate though so it isn’t too often. I do have the Nemesis hitch skid but don’t really use it as a step.

Until I broke my foot last month and it took up residence in a moon boot, I threw a foot on the edge of the bumper and pulled my semi-fat ass up. Now? Exactly as above. Drives me nuts.

I also have to remind myself to plop my increasingly larger sized ass on the tailgate FIRST then move to the ground. Made that mistake once.

Hey I have one of those kickin around here somewhere!! I was in one for a couple months while my Achilles healed up. An experience I highly suggest everyone skip. :like:

Missing the Achilles repair is on my list of Shit Steve Doesn't Want To Do. As I get older somehow that list gets longer.

I broke the 5th metatarsal in a spiral fracture rolling my ankle. Done that a million times but this is the first time I've broken anything other than a hairline break in my ankle.
