Tried that twice. Replaced one of the tires.
Well you have done everything you could. I am surprised with the KMs. Good luck with the Nittos they are a great tire.

I currently have KM3 37's. Apparently it has been narrowed down that these are the source of my vibration after about 6 rounds of balancing. So my question is if there is a better made, tighter tolerance, better balancing 37" tire? I'm running 37x12.50r20's.

If there isn't one then option two is go with Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Suggestions?
I think my 37 x 12.5 X 17 Km3s are the source of my shimmy. It is noticeable above 50 and annoying 65+. Mine have balancing beads in them. How are yours balanced and what have you tried in the 6 attempts?

I only have experience with the Ridge Grappler, so not voting, but will tell you it balances really nice. I have taken chunks out of it and it still balanced nicely... like driving on glass. It really is amazing given it's a 37.

I forgot that I had a set of Toyo Open Country MT's on my 2011 Chevy Z71... They were ok on the road, but not a very good tire offroad. I was very unimpressed with them, overall. They came on the truck, so they left on the truck...When it left my possession to get traded in for my 2017 Mustang GT. Good riddance....To both the truck itself (POS) and the Toyo MT tires...

I picked them up at discount tire. They road force balance. I always seem to notice the initial balance on all my oversized tires doesn’t last long, so I love their lifetime rotate and balance. I do it every 5k.

Running Achilles Desert Hawk XMT’s. 37x12.5x17. One took 4oz. Three took 1-2.5oz. And one took no weights. Willing to bet the one that took 4oz would have been lower had they spun the tire on the rim. Used to be a mechanic and have had to do that before.

Anyway, Indonesian tire company, but they run really smooth at 28-30psi and they are an aggressive knobby mud terrain tread. Grooves are alot wider than the Falken m/t’s.
I just ordered a set of Achilles for mine. Are you still happy with your set?

Yep. Still very happy with them.
Not as smooth or quiet as an A/T tire but not nearly as rough or noisy as the last M/T’s I had (Federal Couragia M/T) run them at 28psi cold for flat contact patch (chalk test) on the street and running about 17 off-road gave good grip/flex/cleanout. When warmed up to 32psi or so I can feel the knobs (if I pay attention) when creeping forward at idle (easing forward at a stop light or something) but once I’m moving, I don’t feel any vibration so it’s nothing that worries me at all and they seem to be wearing very evenly rotating every 5k with oils changes.

one more thing... being a knobby tire, if you give it a lot of skinny pedal from a stop, they tend to make a weird low pitch howling noise. Lol

I would consider another shop. My local shop has never had a problem balancing a 37" KM3 but it also could be the fact that they are 20's. I don't see the benefit in running 20's, your going get less grab out of a 20 but to each his own I guess. If your just driving on the Hwy I guess they will due. Seriously though, those should balance even at 20"

On my 4th set of 37 inch Goodyear MTR/Ks over 3 different rigs... getting over 40k using 5 wheel rotations every 3k and a rebalance every 15k.
Expensive but reliable enough for my needs.
