Right now I have the terrible halogens that come with the jeep. I take mostly roads without streetlights so having something good that won't blind the drivers on the other side of the two lane road is critical. Plan on replacing the headlights and fogs with something that is actually usable. Was thinking about just going with the cheap bulb route, but thinking I may want to go with something nicer and replace the entire headlight. Can't find any take offs of the OEM ones that are worth the price, won't pay mopar the crazy cost for something that should be included, so aftermarket it is.

Question is what have you seen in the way of lights that provides a good overall value and potentially better output than the factory LEDs. I already own a Taser to no issues there with the computer freaking out.

I was looking and the Oracle ones look like a pretty good upgrade for the money. What are everybody's thoughts on those? Looking to do this soon since I have a bumper with winch to install and figure while I have the grill off might as well fix this issue with the jeep.

I have the factory LED lights, and they are great. If I had the halogen lights, I would look at the Oracle lights or the Mopar OEM kit. The difference is about $200, so the primary deciding factor, for me, would be which ones are easier to install.

Good point, need to look over the install guide to make sure I don't get into to much trouble. I know getting the Halos going does take some work.

Amazon has a pair of OEM pretty cheap right now and they finally have some other options available too.

Interesting. Might need to do some browsing around for some of the other aftermarket solutions before deciding if Oracle is the way to go.

The Factory LED Lights are very good but the ORACLE Lighting Oculus Bi-LED headlights outperform them in every measurable category for a fraction of the price.

But are they HEATED?

I had my second round with the factory LED headlights vs. a good old Iowa freezing drizzle storm. By the time I had driven 20 minutes, my headlights were totally covered in over 1/8" of ice - I had to take off gloves to warm them with my hand and scrape the ice off with a plastic ice scraper - not good on plastic lenses. Tends to mar them up quickly.
I actually like the factory LED fine (could be better, yes) - but I don't like LED headlights in Iowa in winter. I should have known better.
This is the second time. First time it was a wet snow that stuck to everything and the lights just got dimmer and dimmer until I stopped and removed a half inch of snow packed onto the headlights.

Come up with a heated LED headlight that sheds our ice and snow and I bet you won't keep them in stock very long. And today was a minor ice storm......... and it still built up enough to totally cover the lights and dim them noticeably.

This is why I am glad to live in the south. We all hide inside making milk sandwiches in weather like you are describing. ;)

To each their own! We haven't heard much concern from customers in colder climates; you can see the customer below (havoc_jlu) went offroading all through the snow with only great feedback. The high performance LEDs use thermal regulation methods to sustain the temperatures needed for optimal operation levels. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks - but that looks like a nice day after the snow has already fallen. There's not a lick of snow on those vehicles, not a bit- hoods and roofs all clean and clear.
I need to find something that can be used during the snow and ice coming down. It's a common problem among LED lights. Freezing rain covers the lights, hood, antenna, windshield, and LED lights don't run hot enough to melt it off like halogens and other old technology.
Non-LED lights, like halogen, etc. - generate heat at the lens that keeps the rain from freezing onto the surface of the lights. LEDs run too cool at the lens to stay clear and I should have thought about that before going LED. I didn't even think of the troubles I've had in the past with such lights freezing over in storms. (when you need them most)

Was hoping someone would come along and solve our freeze-up issue, keeping my eyes open. Today was spooky as the lights were completely iced over.

I have not watched the install video, yet. Do these plug into the factory harness? Are any adapter cables needed, and are they included?

I went with Sylvania Silverstar Ultra halogen bulbs to get brighter and whiter output without going to LED. Living in Colorado, I have had even halogens ice up before so I'm very hesitant to look at any LED that is not heated. I guess (OP in South Carolina) in some states thats not a concern but regardless it was a lot cheaper option as well. I'm running inexpensive LED Fogs and the Alla DRL replacements off Amazon so I have some LED front facing but keeping the primaries halogen for now.

After messing with ice and snow build-up twice, ice today and it wasn't even a major event, I am starting to regret my LED headlight option..... like them when the weather is nice, not so good in an Iowa winter where what's in the air will often freeze to your vehicle. Seeing the light diminish over the miles is not fun - finding a place to stop and scrape the ice off isn't fun either.
My bad, not Jeep's.

You can feel better knowing that having ice on your LEDs is probably still more light output than the stock halogens put out. ;)

Good to know there are decent halogens out there, but driving for the last 5+ years with Just LEDs has kind of gotten me spoiled with even the color of the light output. Semi regret not getting the LED package, but it is also looking like the aftermarket is going to give me better quality for the same price or less.
