What’s your takeaway on it so far? Where do you compare it to in the line up of 2.0 shock bodies?

How many miles have you put in the 5100s?

Some may not know this but the 5100s are actually extended shock bodies since their shaft is slightly longer than other 2.0 shocks.

Yea they are designed to be able to gain the most suspension travel possible in each application of every vehicle. The last truck I added them to was a 2019 Colorado Crew Cab Z71, 4x4, V6. That was a fantastic rig, especially for towing at 10,500 lbs CGVW. That the 5100’s helped level and settle both ends down and prevent the front from bottoming out, even over speed bumps at speeds I would never do before.

The Bilstein 5100 to me, is very similar to the factory Max Tow shocks. It feels as if the truck rides like the OEM shocks did new, with a touch more firmness. If you were coming from a Rubicon or something else with wallowing suspension - I imagine this would be a big, big difference for you. If you are coming from a Sport, or a Sport Max Tow - this is going to be more subtle. I don't think that's a bad thing. The 5100's gave me exactly what I wanted - suspension that rode similar to the way my truck did new. The way this truck rides / carries weight / etc. is one of the reasons I custom ordered it, so I'm glad I landed back where I was / slightly improved.
Great news! I'm having them installed in place of the Rancho 9000xl shocks that weren't performing well enough for me.

I came here to ask about shocks. My 2020 is about to hit 100k miles and is rough going over bumps, rough roads. I'll try the 5100s, but Northridge4x4 only has 1 rear shock in stock. I guess try the fronts and wait for them to restock the rears.

If you're open to trying another vendor, Kolak Performance is a trusted Bilstein dealer. The owner's name is Nick and he is great to deal with. Great service and pricing.

after adding takeoff Mopar lift I called up Eibach and explained what I was looking for ( trails and medium towing ) we found that I could optimize length and gain a lot in travel. No problems after @ 5000 miles. great results on and offroad so far.
It's a truck and I run E load tires for So Cal desert rocks so I am ok with stiff. The Eibachs feel very similar to stock but eliminated the 2nd bounce going over speed bumps near my house. about the same price level as Bilsteins. They are located So Cal and answer the phone.

Because the OP mentioned Rubicons: The 5100's on a Rubicon are a lot more stable on-road than the stock red shocks or the Fox replacement shocks. But, if you want to make a stock height Rubicon actually ride well on the highway versus wallowing along requiring constant attention and steering corrections, replace the rear springs with Max Tow springs. It will be an entirely different vehicle and a pleasure to drive.

We're waiting on our next order to show up.

Normally we could just drop ship you a set from Bilstein, but it looks like they are backordered.
