Posting a link here to my build thread where I describe installation and a small challenge with the OEM carriage bolt and how to overcome it in case anyone else runs into this issue.

Let me know how you like it. I“m installing an AEV lift tomorrow and I have a 5100 steering stabilizer that I had on my Wrangler for a very short time before going to a Fox adjustable. I may throw the Bilstein on the Gladiator. In fact, I“m pretty sure I“m going to do that. Like you, I am running 35“s.

Yeah, I like the tighter steering feel. Will have to drive for a bit on some varied roads to see if it helps with the slight feedback I noticed on the OEM version. I also plan to upgrade the shocks to Bilsteins too as the OEM shocks are just too soft/body rolling for me. Probably gonna go with the 5100's for 0-1.5" lift versions pretty soon.

Yep, my AEV 2.5 lift will have the 5100“s with AEV tuning, which is probably nearly no difference. I am looking forward to the more firm ride. Mine is pretty mushy right now since I put the 35“s on, which are a heavier than average tire. Between the AEV springs and the Bilstein shocks, it will most definitely firm it up a bit.

I've been running one for about a year now, it's held up very well.

I’ve had it close to 2 years now. It’ll pull the wheel as it’s just a glorified shock always trying to extend. I’m sure it helps with bump steer and tightness, but it’s def not the best solution.

I wonder why that is. The OEM does not pull the wheel, and it is nothing more than a shock, too, but a cheaper one than the Bilstein. But if I remember correctly, mine did, too, for the brief time I had it on there.

Does yours pull left or right?

Pulled right for a long time. Not as noticeable now, unsure if I’ve gotten use to it or if it’s loosened up. The stock stabilizer didn’t extend as strong, I could push it down with my hands. The Bilstein was really hard pushing in. I had to place against the ground and use quite a bit of force.

The OEM shock is not as long as the Bilstein when fully extended.

If your steering is pulling after a new stabilizer install there is a process to perform after installation.

Crank the engine
Turn steering wheel to full lock to the left, then to the right.
Do this full lock turn at least five times.

You should have no steering pull afterwards.

it helps, but it doesn’t fix it.
