I did buy the easy extender wire to disconnect before dealer visits. I just want to know the risk of leaving in because I bought for live features vs static things like cha gong tire size (which may come later!)
The Tazer bypasses the security gateway. This is the biggest issue with leaving it plugged in. This means devices on the unsecure CAN bus (like Uconnect4) have access to the secure CAN bus without authentication. This opens the door for remote hacking, etc..

i used the oracles that go in place of the reflectors. Bought the wiring harness too. Was impressed w the set up even though some bash them (oracle). They are real bright, light up large area about 50 ft back

+1 for the Oracle bumper backup lights combined with the flush mount tail lights. My backup lights are now bright AF. Don't even notice the license plate light glare anymore.

I've had both in for well over a year with no issues.

Do those just pigtail right into the tail lights because that is awesome that I can get rid of that reflector and put an actual light there I like that idea

Yes, it connects inline with the tail light harness.

But you still have reflectors- that's a legal requirement should any jurisdiction choose to enforce it. CA has a strict definition, but like others, may not enforce unless there's an accident.
The LED is about half of the reflector space, the rest is reflector. Trust me, they are BRIGHT AS HECK. You don't look at them when on.

Can you explain the wiring to get it to trip in reverse and off the aux? I assume a 3 way toggle switch?

A diode pair -

You need to slightly modify the Oracle plug and play harnesses, but very doable.
So the Oracle harness, below, I modified so the factory backup light feed goes out and to the input side of the diode, the aux switch white wire to the other side of the diode, and the output of the diode then goes to both of the Oracle backup lights.

The white wire seen here comes from my aux switch back to one of the diode inputs - I put the Oracle harness in the RIGHT side to make it easier, shorter run for the aux switch wire going straight back from the connection under the hood.

The diode I used, you can just see in the pic above -

Ahhh okay that makes sense. Appreciate you typing that out. Looking to get something similar set up, it’s nice to have dual functions for the same lights.

That's what I love about the plug and play stuff - have problems with lights? Pull tail light, unplug Oracle harness, plug factory harness back together - BOOM. Fixed, back to factory. No wires cut or damaged or otherwise harmed, no mods to the truck.
It's why I spent the time and money making plug and play harnesses to tap into the turn signals and parking lights for my snow plow. If I happen to trade it or lights stop working, I pull the fenders, take my harnesses out, plug the factory stuff back together, no wires cut or poked or damaged.
The instructions said to cut and splice for parking and turn signals - NO WAY! Can't touch factory wires with cutters....... resist.......... resist.......... resist!

Anyone do any sort of connection so you can easily disconnect lights to remove the bumper? Sorry, electrical is not my thing. Would love to have them on in reverse AND to a switch but the pics and instructions here might as well be in Chinese to me lol Just gonna hook them off aux switch
