While installing my ARB Stubby bumper I snapped the head off of one of the passenger side mounting bolts. The other seven are installed with no issue. Is this something I should be concerned about? I wont be using the winch a ton, but I don't want to worry when I'm using it that its gonna pull off the bumper. Is this something that should be fine or do I need to try and fix it?

If it snapped due to over torquing and not cross threading it should not be a problem to pull the bumper and grab the end of the bolt with vice grips and unthread the bolt

It was cross threaded.

I would fix that, personally. How is the ARB constructed? Stock, those bolts are easily replaced if you disassemble the inner and outer bumper pieces

It has a nut welded on the rear of the plate that mounts up against the Gladiator. This is the location of the bolt I snapped

I doubt you'll be ripping the bumper off on a hard winch pull missing one bolt, but it would forever drive me nuts until I fixed it.

You could take the bumper off, use a bolt extractor to remove the broken bolt, use a bolt tap to attempt to repair the boogered threads, and it might still not work.

Hey OP if you decide you want to fix/replace let me know, we just did a bumper swap on my wife's JL and I have spare bolts if you don't have to re-tap and change sizes. PM me an address and I'll gladly mail one or two to you.
