And the one that I'm starting to like ...

Have to use your imagination for the lenses for now...

I'm going to proceed more with this design and also start designing the sequence for turn signals with them

I have a real prototype printing now... Once it is done, I will measure so I can create the lenses.....

I have designed this around led placement.

I'll sketch my sequence plan up in a second for turn signals.

But this design stays away from Oracle,

Gives some what a classic look with new look....

Let me know if I should remove material from the side markers were I could put a Easter egg gladiator in there or not, or if you think they should stay the same....

I'll try to get some pics up tonight with lenses installed to give a better representation

So when you hit the turn signal, the light will start in the inside center and wrap around to out side center......

Does everyone think that will be the best?
Screenshot_20230620_144730_Onshape.jpg
It looks like that may be the best due to the flow of light. If it went side to side/up-down or vide versa, it may bee too quick of a sequence to be noticeable.

The reverse light will have a total of 144 LEDs in the center ....

That's three rows of 48 side by side....

I think that should give a pretty bright reverse light...

Worse case scenario I could design a rear fog light into the center for high brightness.

how about outter ring running lights, inner red brake/turn single
Screenshot_Reverse light3.jpg
I like your idea, for me personally that's too much red.

My plan is to have the running , brake, and turn all on the perimeter.

I'd rather have a nice output on the reverse so I can see everything backing up.... But that's me....

If I like this design and others do, I can change out the center fairly easily...

How are you covering the legal requirement for a side marker reflector?
When your lights are not on, the side markers are required to be reflective at night. Rears must reflect red when headlights shine on them.
Rear and side reflectors are required.
>>All vehicles in the US and Canada are required by DOT standards to have side marking lights and reflectors which are orange front and red rear.<<

Fed and state laws as if your lights are out and there's no reflectors - you may be in for some trouble.

Maybe you've addressed that already and after 40+ pages, it wasn't obvious.

Depending which way I print the lens, they are reflective..... In fact more reflective then oracles lights.....

But I can still promise you, these will not be DOT approved.... I am not a company and don't have the funds to put tail lights through DOT testing. These lights will be sold as off road use only.....

I like the idea of having the small marker lights on the side. I currently have the Oracle's, and one thing I miss about the OEM halogen housings was being able to see that small dot of red on the side when I looked in the mirror. Gave me a better reference for spatial orientation.

I like the design of these new ones (non-blindspot), but not in love with the way the printed lenses look.

BUT... I keep going back and comparing to your original set... :) I'm liking that one more I think, more original looking (like you said, the new ones keep getting close to oracle)
