Looking great so far! What sort of led’s are you going to run for the perimeter?

I used to use superflux LEDs

Chanzon 100 pcs Piranha Superflux Red LED Diode Lights (Clear Transparent Lens Flat Top 4 pins DC 2V 20mA) Lighting Bulb Lamps Electronics Components Indicator Light Emitting Diodes https://a.co/d/fDZL2l6

These would take a lot of soldering and I would make a custom board to align them on.

But LEDs have come along way since I last did this so I'm going to test a few strip style LEDs. If they're not what I want then I will build from scratch like I used to with the superflux LEDs.

I'm first going to try these :

HAMRVL COB LED Strip Lights Red,DC12V 16.4ft/5M 320leds/M CRI90 Bright Flexible LED Tape 8mm, for Indoor Home Cabinet,Bedroom,Kitchen,Stage,Backlight DIY Lighting(Without Power Supply) (Red) https://a.co/d/fzlqM7w

And these :

Meijiajia LED Neon Strip Lights, Red 12V/16.4ft, Flexible Diffuser, Cuttable & Bendable Waterproof Silicon, for Mood Light, Decor & Sign Custom. [Power Adapter not Included] https://a.co/d/hBtlykL

Here's the final version for my gladiator all painted. Found some corner lights that work with blinkers now too.

I personally love this set up, literally nothing I'd change.

I can't wait to get a set on my truck.

Ha, SV i miss mine every now and then.
One of my favorite bikes I ever had. Too dangerous around here to ride anymore... Way too many elderly people who can't see and cell phone texter drivers .... Just not worth it anymore.

Does anyone like the bed liner look? This is a easy application for me to apply to people who will want it.

Today I received the connectors so I can do the wiring easy. Now just need the lights to arrive ......

Here are some pics of the bed liner paint jobs.

This is looking killer. Can't wait to see how it looks with the lights in. I wonder if widening the strip would be better, give it a ring for running lights and then 2 for the brakes. What's the idea for reverse lights?

The one strip of red should be bright enough for both running and brake lights with some wiring magic to dim the lights for running lights and full power for brake and turn...

I plan on widening the channel and putting a white strip in for reverse lol... Figure that would be pretty cool....

Then in all the blank area maybe put a lit up gladiator logo or something....

I guess once the lights are in you will know more on how to adjust it.

Can you remove excess material where all the blank space is? I know part of it is needed for support. Just throwing other ideas out, might end up looking bad. I have a vinyl wrap so that would show.

Do you mean to remove this entire area? Where you can see through it?

Sorry I'm a little confused.

Can't remove this area because it's where the hook to hook into the body is.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. Like I said I wasn't sure where the internal supports were located.

There is just so much blank space, since you have to use most of the outline of the OEM taillight to cover the hole in the sheet metal. Maybe a raised gladiator outline in the area, I think if it gets illuminated it would look busy.

I wonder if there is a compromise between this LED channel and the Oracle light channel. I think the Oracle lights are to big and this might seem small. All that said if the lights go in here and they look good then this is moot point.
