I have 2 of the 67 Designs spring-loaded holders and they developed the rattle over time as well. But only when a phone is in the holder.Bulletpoint sent me a new holder because it was rattling over bumps. Hopefully this fixes the problem otherwise back to 67 Designs.
Are you drilling holes in the plastic dash to mount that to?
Not sure what year it started, but in my 2024 there are threaded holes on both sides from the factory now.Are you drilling holes in the plastic dash to mount that to?
No drilling needed. You just have to lift the rubber cover off to access the threaded holes for mounting/securing the base. Are you drilling holes in the plastic dash to mount that to?
I'm thinking about doing that as well because almost all of my 67D developed a rattle over time so it's probably just the nature of the beast with the spring loaded ones. Sometimes adding a bit of WD40 inside helps for a bit. The Bulletpoint one developed the rate within a few days of getting it.I have 2 of the 67 Designs spring-loaded holders and they developed the rattle over time as well. Using a MagSafe holder now to wirelessly charge, so no longer an issue.
Thanks! If my lazy ass went outside and pulled the rubber cover up…I would’ve seen it.Not sure what year it started, but in my 2024 there are threaded holes on both sides from the factory now.
I kinda wish you would have drilled holes without looking. That would be a fun thread. Thanks! If my lazy ass went outside and pulled the rubber cover up…I would’ve seen it.![]()

How well does the magnetic holder work? Off road tested by chance? We have both. On the driver side the phone (iPhone 14 Pro) sits nicely between the wheel and the screen. Neither the phone screen nor the jeep screen are blocked. We also use their magnetic holders. On the driver side it set the phone too high so we bought a small extension to drop the magnetic mount down (~2”s) so the phone does not block the view out the windshield. The only con is it takes a little finesse to work the windshield wiper post.
