Well, I can tell the Vision X is not any better. Ran a set on my 2021 Willys and the powder coat on the faceplate mount bracket is crap and will show rust pretty quickly.
I just want to add that I'm been running the Vision X through a few New Hampshire winters and have not had a problem with them rusting. And they are far brighter than the Oracles,. Added bonus; they use standard, replaceable light pods.

Following this thread I'm convinced that the Oracle's work and are well-backed by the company so I'm adding the Oracle flush mount tail lights and rear bumper reverse lights as my next-up mods.

Are they as insane with road salt application as they are over here in the people's republic of Vermont ?

Can't say, don't go there very often, I'm on the Maine side of the state. But I also travel a lot to CT via MA, and both of those states are crazy with stuff that's far more corrosive than salt. I wish my Rough Country drop steps held up half as good as the Vision X lights. Three years old and they look horrible.

Coincidentally, I will be in VT this weekend for my niece's college graduation. She asked her cool aunt and uncle to bring cigars and booze to celebrate. But now I find out that cigars are practically illegal in VT. The place we're staying at has a nice big outdoor firepit area and even walking trails, and does not allow smoking anywhere. And there do not even appear to even be any cigar bars or lounges in the entire state. Crazy.

If you can swing up 89 in N.H., lots of good stuff available in the state stores in the rest areas 😁! I believe even MA is better about this than our socialist state. What part of VT are you heading for?

I went the cheap route. I bought the reflector delete plates off ebay, and some reflector tape and rock lights from Amazon. I reinstalled the wiring for the KC lights, and put Deutsch connectors on the rock lights to plug them in. I may reinstall the KC lights and connect them to an Aux switch. I'll have to see about it when I run the cabling to install the rear battery.

There are two pictures of the backup camera. One with just the factory LED reverse lights, and one with the extra lights plugged in.

I'll add the link for the ebay plates later tonight.

funny. I did almost exactly this same thing a few years back. Same lights, red DOT reflective tape and trailer wiring hookup. Only difference was I made the backing plate out of a sheet of 1/4 ABS. And I don't think I ever shared it on here. Great minds think alike. :CWL:

That being said, I've since changed it out to a slightly different style and put a different light flush behind the plate. Not an entirely good idea, since it's further recessed now.

Lot's of good tax free cigar shops here. AAMOF, some friends of mine are building what will be the largest cigar lounge in the Northeast in just outside of North Conway, NH.

We'll be in the Stowe/Burlington area. As if I wasn't already kinda annoyed about the whole deal, it looks like there will be a bunch of crazy people having a 20 mile bike race on the uphill section of the Kancamagus Highway during the time I'll be driving across.
