I have had buyers remorse on parts.
I'm real close to doing this on a stealth lightbar. I'd considered one of the first gen ones, and now the second gen is cheaper AND brighter? Plus I have a stupid $350 gift card from my health insurance perks that expires. Definitely feels like buying parts just to buy parts. But sometimes parts make me happy.

they key is not be loyal to any insurance company, shop rates at least once a year, compare policies, they force that upon you every time they raise your rates

really feel like the Gladiator lost its value quicker than anything I have owned before.
Jeep overproduced. Trade values were stupid and way too many people were making money flipping these and they couldn't see the writing on the wall that the second flipping lightly used trucks for profit was dead their sales would tank. Hell, I bought 2 MY22 gladiators.

Production numbers have been heavily revised to MY24. Don't worry about short term dips in vehicle value. It will even out in a year.

Prior to 2020 there were a number of models with ridiculous depreciation floating around. XJs, Ghiblis, A7s, K900s.

Meh, USAA always done me right. They don't always have the best rates, but they sometimes do and when they don't they are close enough. That being said, they actually cover shit when you need them to. What's the point of paying for insurance that doesn't insure you? Had plenty of friends with other carriers have fights on their hands for accidents. USAA has always just taken care of shit for me.

Had a car rear ended on a Saturday night in a state where body shops are closed on Sunday. Monday morning they agreed to total it and Tuesday MORNING I had a check in my hands for more than I was hoping for (which was already more than I was expecting). That's not the claims story you hear on Geico, state farm, or nationwide claims.

State Farm has always been great with my experience and from what I hear from others. Only one I personally had trouble with was Progressive.

I bought used for at the time a good deal which was about $8k less than I could find a similar one locally. So within a year the retail value of my JTR has dropped about $15k which is more than i have lost on new cars other than a BMW which lost its value that much within months. I thought the Gladiator would hold its value better than the other mid sized trucks which it hasn't. I put 27k miles in two years on a 2018 Colorado and traded for $7k less two years later. I don't have remorse I am just pissed that it lost so much value so fast. I have bought 40 some cars in 26 years so i understand the game

To be fair we did just come out of one of the highest markets for used cars. Its not surprising our values are low right now. I am also sooo glad I got out of my 2019 Denali Last year at this time

Buyer's remorse here for not buying a Rubicon Ecodiesel. Instead, I bought a Willy's $48.5K (leather, LEDs, and tow package) out-the-door on 3/2/2024. The dealer told me if I wasn't happy they would buy it back for what I paid for it. After a week of them trying to work up a deal on the Rubicon, I never got the new numbers. No deal happened. Further, CarMax only offered me $35K with 500 miles on the odometer. Ouch! I thought I was getting a good deal on the Willys with Employee pricing, 15 % off of MSRP, and additional dealer discounts. Oh well, I'm now selling my 2018 Ram Laramie Ecodiesel and about to spend a ton of money on upgrades that will exceed the price of a Rubicon. Live and learn. First, replace the obnoxiously loud Mud Terrain tires and upgrade the non-Alpine sound system on the Willys. I will love this Jeep and the two ducks that made me smile.

Thank you for all the replies. The insurance thing really ticks me off. I called them BEFORE I bought the rig. While an extra $40 per month may seem like chump change, over the course of a year that is an extra car payment. I consider that big. And they have been helping themselves to my money like this for 3 years straight. I think they will do it again next year. At this rate, it makes no sense to have anything nice anymore.

Did you shop insurance yet? If not, do it. Go to websites for local agents and request quotes.

I had buyers remorse when Jeep announced the Farout edition…then I started modding and I have not looked back. My ‘23 JTRD was pretty loaded but then I realized all the stuff I could add to make it mine and I love working on it and teaching my kids. Every once in a while I ask my sons (10, 6, 5) if they still like the Jeep and they are emphatic with their answers about how it’s what they want to have someday. Keep that in mind because sitting next to it in the garage is a MT 911. My kids are car-crazy and they understand how unique and special our JTs are and are always asking if we can take off the roof and doors even if just going to baseball or lacrosse practices.

I get it every time. I have only had one used car in my lifetime and that was my first car my parents gave me a 69 Buick Lesaber for
high school graduation in 77 . After that it's been new vehicle ever since, car and or motorcycle ,and every time I get that feeling . It does go away after you drive it more and if you enjoy driving it . If you do not enjoy driving it and don't look at it in the garage everyday and give it a thumbs up... well you did not get what you really wanted and then and only then you need to move on get something that will make you feel that way . I am retired and do not drive a hole lot but when The wife says can we have pizza tonight I am happy to jump in my Mojave to go pick it up . ?

I hear that, any reason to jump in and drive. You’ll like it even more after you’ve personalized your Gladdy. Not much is getting cheaper these days, kick back & enjoy the ride.
