If you go this route, I'd go for the one with the outdoor kitchen as well as the regular kitchen. Mine has the outdoor kitchen...a two burner gas stove (I got a griddle that fits perfectly over the two burners), a small refrigerator (think dorm room size for beer when you get there...mine is 110 V only), and a small sink/prep area and some utensil storage above.

It's nice to be able to cook burgers or make bacon and eggs on a griddle outside so that when you go inside, or to bed, your trailer, clothing, bedding, etc. doesn't smell of cooking grease or whatever you cooked.

Bacon ALWAYS smells nice but, it's hard to fall asleep when you're still drooling from breakfast's smells
%1,000 agree.

I didn’t have the kitchen on my pup, just the fridge. We had to bring a stand alone travel grill with us. Not hard, but annoying in retrospect .

Now having the outside kitchen, ill never go without one again.

I have a Gladiator Rubicon (Automatic).

I'm looking at possibly buying a new camper.

Here's the specs:
GVWR 7000LBS
Dry 5040LBS
Hitch 685LBS

I know I have 7000LBS towing capacity. When I camp I am mainly doing instate trips. I always travel with the tanks empty and usually just carry, food, clothes, mountain bikes, and maybe firewood.

Is the hitch weight too much? Anyone with a rubicon have experience towing this heavy and with this hitch weight?
Anyone who gives you hard and fast answers either isn't thinking it through or has very little towing experience.

The correct answer is that it depends.

Are you highly experienced pulling a trailer and towing it 20 miles from your home to a beach camp site where it will remain all year??
If so, then yes, absolutely you can tow it.

Do you have very little towing experience and plan on pulling it 1500 miles every summer over the Rockies, in July??
If so, then probably no. It's too heavy.

Everything in between is negotiation in your own head between how pleasant and safe it will be to tow.

You will most likely be overloaded based on the stickers in the door. Can you live with that? Again it comes down to
1) driver experience
2) how fast
3) how far
4) how often
5) weather
6) elevation change

I’ve got a 2020 max tow sport pulling a 3000 pound teardrop, and while you can pull more weight I wouldn’t be too comfortable pulling anything over 4500 pounds. It pulls great but you can get pushed around on the interstate. Be sure you have a good hitch and think about the frontal area of whatever your towing. Above all, have a good trailer brake and mirrors, or cameras. Have fun and be safe!

Not me.
I have a travel trailer a little less weight than what you mentioned and I have a anti sway brake with load distributor hitch. I use my Dodge Ram chassis cab 3500 4x4 instead of my Jeep. But I take long trips, full water, large generator. My Jeep gets kind of “squirrelly” when I tow a small flat bed trailer with a light load especially in crosswinds and rutted roads.

Oh, forgot… Central Texas to Great Sand Dunes, Colorado… Would have been a nightmare in my Jeep.

@dcmdon nailed it. Frequency and distance are as much a factor as anything.
Push it to the limit for nearby/infrequent. Back off to 75-80% for frequent long distance comfort and safety.

That squat doesn't look bad to me at all. The length of the JT exaggerates how it looks.

That’s why I said “a bit”. But I have a rubicon, and know how they look when squatting.

I have a 2021 high altitude gladiator. I would like to rent a u-haul flatbed to tow my 2000 Camaro SS about 550 miles. Anyone have experience with this? I can’t seem to find specs on towing or max TW for this model. I just have towing package not max tow. This is gas engine.

I’d need to pull the chart, but I think if it’s an automatic, your towing capacity is 6k.

It is automatic. Hard to find a high altitude in charts. Camaro is 3500-3800
I think the high altitude has the same towing capacity as a sport, Willy’s, or overland with autos.
