Hi, reading up on changing the plugs on my 2020 glaadiator. Did anyone doing this change the Plenum seals. I'm just trying to get everything I might need before I get into it. I was also going to change the PCV valve based on several other recommendations.

Thanks in advance

I'd change the intake gasket.
I saw a set of lowers for $42 Mopar! They were for a 3.6l. I bet you can find what you need online if saving a few dollars helps. Otherwise, still worth getting the correct seals from Benny on this forum.

I“m going to be doing this on my JL later this summer. I will be replacing any seals that are fairly easy to access while in there, plus the serpentine belt and any pulleys that are easy. Might as well get it all while everything is apart and accessible.

Do it all while it is apart. I would skip on the pulleys depending on the cost. I have a few car with over 300k miles on original pulleys. I think the shortest life on a pulley was on my Crown Victoria at 100k miles. They usually tell you when they want to be replaced.

From what I“ve been told on the JL forum, there is one particular pulley that is not expensive but if you do any water crossings, it can cause the bearings in it to fail. I“ve not done any deep ones...yet. So I may get the replacement and keep it with me and keep the old belt. The guy who shared that with me had the pulley bearing and belt fail. He“s done one on the trailside, too. But he does do frequent water crossings. I try to avoid them, but at some point it will be unavoidable.

When I find the cost, I“ll post it up. I“m heading to the dealer for the parts soon.

It will be awhile, but when I get to it, I will post pics and how things go. But before that I am taking kids to Greece and then getting married July 5. Jeep is on the side burner right now. LOL. I also have some Harbor Freight Road Shock lights to install.

Did it once on my 2020 Gladiator and I changed the plenum gaskets.

Might want to also consider changing the oil cooler/filter assembly gaskets also if not the whole assembly since you will be 75% into that job if doing the spark plug change. That is kind of a flip a coin decision though.

I will certainly look at that gasket. But I think if it looks perfect. I may leave well enough alone.

Thank you for the great suggestion!

Simple answer, YES always change the intake manifold gaskets......if you don't high probability you'll be doing the job again

I’ve had my intake off twice, once to do plugs and coils, and once to get rid of aftermarket coils and put new mopar coils in. Don’t go aftermarket. I learned my lesson. Both times the intake seals were in perfect shape. I covered them and the intake holes carefully with painters tape while working. I changed the pcv valve around the same time as well. I would have on hand the gaskets for those two camshaft position sensors. Both were leaking on mine, and it’s impossible to replace the driver side if the intake is on.

Where is the knock sensor located ?
I usually have mine hammer down but when I get in there might as well do it?
I have changed all the others .

Two of them. On top of the engine valley area with one underneath the oil filter/cooler assembly and one just aft of it.
