Jeep Gladiator Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram unseats Ford as least-trusted among dealers WYDS3WNK6FBUDCITU7R3CLRSFU

Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram is the least-trusted franchise, unseating Ford for the undesirable spot, according to the latest dealership sentiment survey from Kerrigan Advisors.

Seventy-two percent of dealers signaled they had no trust in Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram, owned by troubled automaker Stellantis, according to the sixth annual Kerrigan Dealer Survey. Just 2 percent of dealers said they had a high level of trust in Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram and 26 percent said they had moderate trust. A year ago, 39 percent of dealers asked said they had no trust in Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram.

More than 635 dealers responded anonymously to the survey, conducted from June to November...

It will be interesting to see if Nissan/Infiniti get themselves off the shit list after the Honda merger.

Is there a link to the full survey that is not behind a paywall?

Well they never asked my opinion! Over the total of 30+ years I have had dealings with numerous Jeep/Doge /Chrysler /Ram dealers, all I have spent considerable $$$$$ buying new vehicles over the years from Dodge, Jeep and Ram, either 5 Star or not have all treated me fairly and trustworthy for looking out for me. The last example was the first free service on my Gladiator I bought new at Thunder JDRC in central Florida, who also has a $15k discount on the table the day I went in. Well anyway at the end of the oil change I noticed on the receipt, it stated MOPAR 10w30 syn bld oil was used? So I immediately brought that to the attention of the service writer! He told me something about a code he cc enters for the job order, but the technicians know exactly what to do and use! Understandably I was upset wanting especially my first of many oil changes was going to be using full synthetic oil and not 10w30! The service manager heard my raised voice of concern and took me aside to help me cool down. He told me about the code entered on a job order, but also admitted that was a weak excuse in a new revamped Dealership. So he brought me to the service bay, just outside in the safety area, showing me the technician draining what was put in according to normal procedures, with the technician telling me when the vehicle gets into their hands the know and use exactly what the manual says. Then showed me the oil tanks and hoses that dispensed from each different labeled tank and refilled my Jeep! Then they brought it around with an apology for the misunderstanding, with the caveat that no other customer had ever noticed! There’s not enough room here for me to explain what happened in 2000, to my 95 Wrangler exhaust manifolds stud recall, or 86 Ram heat riser. Or 2003 Dakota ball joint serv blt. All done quickly and fully cleaned and ready on time for $0000 costs.

There's a reason they call it "the bleeding edge of technology"

Jeep, Ford, et al have all embraced the luxury technologies. ACC, 4W Auto, 360 degree cameras, collision avoidance, self-parking, blah blah blah

Toyota tends to keep things simple. And thus, keep things predictable and reliable.

Personally, I LOVE the bleeding edge. And, obviously, I'm not alone or these manufacturers would not be catering to me.

Sure, my main trail vehicle is an 88 Samurai. Just a basic drivetrain wrapped in some sheet metal. About the most advanced thing on it is the electronic distributor.

But for the road - man I am just a sucker for all the latest fancy semiconductor powered doo-dads. Yeah, I know each one is just another potential point of failure. But that's why God invented warranties.

So keep up the bad work, Jeep and Ford. After all, you can never truly know where the edge is until you've gone over a few times.

Just like Thelma and Louise, I'll hold your hand and we'll slam that pedal to the metal together!!!

you raise an interesting point. more so in what the survey DOES not quantify. there are approximately 2600 dealers. only 635ish responded, 24% if you will. what does the remaining 76% think? is the 24% the sour grapes faction of dealers? i liken this to the aux battery issues on this forum. a casual observer would think it is rampant due to the frequent discussion of that problem. it is, in my opinion, a red hot problem when an owner is subject to it but what % of all gladiators sold does it affect? 24% perhaps? less? more? i think the pollster is just highlighting a squeaky wheel issue.

My local automotive group built a BRAND NEW Chrysler/Ram/Dodge/Jeep dealership a few years ago and they just CLOSED their doors. Stellantis was forcing them to sell a lot of EV vehicles. The owner tried to explain to them that we are located in one of the most rural places in the U.S. where there are NO charging stations. Stellantis didn't listen, so the Automotive Group (which also owns a Chevrolet and Toyota dealership) closed the doors. Now, my nearest Chrysler/Ram/Dodge/Jeep dealership is 2 hours away.

The amount of damage that Stellantis has caused to the North American brands will take years and years to recover from.

We do not know what sampling method they used.

What we know is that every automaker has equal chance of surveying happy and unhappy dealers. The different is in the % of happy vs unhappy dealers each automaker has.

Absolutely true! The idiots in charge of American operations are stubbornly ignorant to the reality of the market. Following a European woke agenda and political ideology that is so out of touch with reality! If STELLantUS had been around a hundred and twenty years or so ago, they would have bet on European buggy whips! Instead of following Mr. Ford!

I came to Jeep from Toyota. Sure it was reliable, but it was a bore to drive. Technology is 5 years behind everyone else, piss poor performance, but a high price tag.

It's easy to be reliable when you wait for everyone else to iron out all the bugs first.

What does "level of trust for each brand" actually mean in this survey? Is it trust in Stellantis to treat them well and not put them into financial difficulty and provide them the new vehicles they request and that will actually sell in their marketplace (rather than sending only EVs, even to rural areas, even when they beg not to get any more). Or is it trust in the product itself, such as workmanship and reliability? I can see how Jeep dealers might feel slighted by Stellantis these days. They appear to have been greedy bastards and the dealers are left holding the bag.

Now that Carlos Tavares is gone, I think things will be much better. Unfortunately, he did so much damage that it will take several years for the North American market to get back on its feet. The good news is that Stellantis will now give each brand the attention that it needs, which will be good for Chrsysler especially. As an optimist, I look at this as a reset for each brand.
