I’m waiting on my Clayton 2.5” overland + kit for my Rubicon. I know that the Clayton kit leaves some rake and I’d prefer a more level look. I’m looking for pictures and insight from those of you running the kit on a rubicon and what spacer (.5 or 3/4”) you used to achieve level. I currently don’t have a steel bumper/winch but will in the future. What I don’t want is a squatted look in the back. Thanks in advance!

There’s not much rake with Clayton coils. I’d start without a spacer and add later if you think it’s needed.

Here’s mine from a couple different orientations in about the same spot. It’s not quite level there so I wanted to show both angles.

I just finished install of Clayton 2.5" premium kit. Not much rake at all, even with steel (factory) bumper with 10k Warn installed. I was concerned that rake would be problem, but am VERY happy with outcome. Here are some pics...

I just put a 3 1/3” on this weekend and it had significant rake which I Really didn’t want so I put a 1” spacer in the front. Still has some rake.
not Real sure what happened.

I did the 2 1/2" Overland Plus on mine, and installed a 1/2" spacer. It came out pretty level. Since this picture I've put on a bumper and winch, so now it has a bit of rake. I may go up to a 1" spacer at some point.

At first the Clayton kit will have almost 0 rake but as the front springs settle you'll be around 1" lower or at least I am. This is on a rubi with steel bumpers beefed up track bar and sector shaft brace so if you have less weight it will sag less obviously.

I know we have already spoke and you've seen this, but I just wanted to post pics for everyone else. Clayton 2.5 ride rite w/mopar 2" lift LCA's, on 37 inch Maxxis Razrs. I used the Mopar arms because they actually measured the same as Clayton's measurements for their arms and they were cheap. Only $30 each. This helped to re-center front wheels in the wheel well.
There is some rake. I like the look. Now when I put on my bumper may be a different story. I have a Teraflex 1/2 inch spacer for that issue, if any.

Hey Shane! The JT kits are designed to come with some rake as we don't want to take away the capability of the truck, but the great thing about the kit being fully adjustable is that if you do want to add in some additional lift up front, you can do so without worrying about throwing off your suspensions geometry! If you want us to take a look at your vehicle or install, PM us some photos and we can help you out!

With your 2.5” overland + kit on a Rubicon (currently am NOT running a winch or steel bumper) will a 3/4” spacer in the front be too big to be level? I don’t want to be higher in the front than in the back. Also, if I add that spacer will by Fox 2.0 2-3” shocks still be ok with that much lift in the front?

Good lord, you are killing me! I'm still waiting on my 2.5" Clayton Overland Plus kit ordered on 9/3 and it is torture! I wasn't struggling this bad waiting on the vehicle order itself.

Looking at these pictures, I don't think I will do a spacer in the front, at least for now. If/when I decide to, what is the preferred spacer, or are they all relatively equal?
