Twice on my 2020 Gladiator.
First time was after about 4 months - teeny chip you couldn't see without a bright light caused it. Didn't even know there was a chip until it cracked.
Then 2nd time 2 years later when I was trading it for my 2022. Another chip.
Only a film would have prevented the first chip - it was extremely small.
The 2nd was larger, but a film may still have stopped it.
I have a small chip on my 2022 that I didn't know was there until I cleaned the glass a few days ago. It will crack, I'm sure, so I need to get it fixed.

A good film would have stopped all of these.

0 so far knocking on wood, but a rock did make a small chip sized dot on the top of it, luckily I had a large vinyl banner that probably absorbed most of it and avoided the spread. Would be interested to keep that count to 0 though ?

I told my wife that she has to deal with the cracked windshield for now because I don't want to replace it until someone can sell something that will HELP prevent me from having to replace every 6 months! Maybe your the answer to my prayers.

on my JK I cannot remember but the folks at Safelight know me on a first name basis. I ordered the Gorilla Glass in this one but finding out from posts here it may be a marketing thing and not really beneficial, currently been lucky with it so far.

I got my gladiator in April of 2022 and currently have 26K miles on it. I'm currently on my 3rd windshield (which is also cracked pretty bad). My second windshield cracked with in 10 minutes of picking it up from the windshield repair shop. I'm tired of replacing them. But I definitely need to replace my current one.

I have several chips and two cracks, one going top to bottom on the drives side and one going from left to right almost in the center and have been dragging my feet on replacing the windshield and have been looking at options to protect it the day I install a new one. This just might be what I have been looking for!!!
