I want to get mine done, sides of the hood and door hinges are bad but being a 2020 I think I’m past the warranty period.
You got five years warranty on corrosion. Just had my 2020 done.

Does anyone know if the replacement of Factory vinyl graphics is also covered? Mine came from the factory with the flag on the hood, which was a $245 add-on.

Had my hood replaced and repainted last month under warranty. And "No" they did not replace the factory graphics on my hood. Total cost was close to $4k for the new hood, labor paint. To be fair - they did a great job matching the paint ... this issue has been around since the 2000's with the JK door hinges.

Is the corrosion apparent? I have a 2020 JT Rubicon I bought in January of 2021. I do not see anything obvious happening, and I live in oversalted South-Eastern Wisconsin.

If you have it, yeah it is apparent. Will look like blisters under the paint. Real bad, will look like the cottage cheese thighs of a fat lady.

Most prevalent at rolled seam bottoms and hinge point attach areas.

I had mine repainted in April and so far so good. It took months from the time the dealer inspected it and submitted the photos to Jeep for approval, to the time they actually completed the work. This was at the second dealer I went to because the first dealer which was closer to my home wouldn’t even look at it. I just hope the issue doesn’t reappear.

Just paid $1300 out of pocket to have mine done(all 8 hinges), this was also employee cost at the dealer body shop at work. They also painted my lock cylinders to match.

Yes. We’re the owners of a handful of Jeeps. Two of our JLs (a 2020 and a 2021) have/had it. The 2020 JT is fine and the 2023 JL are fine.

Both were “fixed” by a dealer and came back. It turns out, they didn’t do it right. I’ve been dealing/arguing with @JeepCares for 2 months to fix the 2020 under warranty (5-year warranty ended 3 months ago, but the repair is a year old). HB Jeep is now doing the work, since Glenn Thomas Jeep will no longer fix the corrosion. HB Jeep has been great. They do it the right way by replacing panels instead of paining over it. The 2021 is going in next. Sucks.

For those of you that have dealt with this issue, should a person take it in at first sighting, or wait to see if other areas start corroding? I'm only seeing it on the bottom of my tailgate right now.

I do not believe it is a one time deal. As long as you are within the time frame it can be taken back in if more shows up. So you can have what you see now taken care of, or wait if you have time and see if more shows up. One period of waiting instead of multiples, your choice.

Went to have this taken care of on my 2020. The dealer called me the next day after dropping it off that they have "met their quota per the manufacturer" and cannot do any more corrosion jobs. I asked for any documentation they can provide to this point so I can take this to Jeep and have them figure this out for me. They said they can't provide any denial documentation because they
never submitted the pictures or info to Jeep for the warranty claim because they have met their quota and didn't want to waste my time waiting on Jeep to deny my claim. 🤯

I called Jeep Cares to see where I could take my truck without playing all these games with dealerships and wasting my time. I was told there's no such thing as a quota and that any dealership can perform this work or sub it out to a body shop. Shocker.

I had them call nearby dealerships and they gave me one that said they would take it in and perform the work. Will find out soon.
